Debauchery in Caelia Kingdoms tells an open-ended story of the leader of a small kingdom. You inherit the -lordship of the land. It’s unclear whether you’re a monarch, or steward. You are presented with various scenarios and obstacles. You make important choices that shape the city. Along the way, you meet numerous sexy characters, all of them eager to have sex with you. The game is in beta, and very early into its development. Major gameplay features seem to be missing in the current build.

STORY

You’ve inherited the lordship of a small kingdom. You face the challenge of earning the trust of your new subjects. You can also choose to be a tyrant who forces his slaves to submit to his will. Take charge of your subordinates, create new laws, enslave monsters and imprison your enemies. While building your undying legacy, remember to engage in lots of unprotected sex.

The story has multiple plot lines running. For example, your former nanny, Lucina, who was caught in an accident and transformed into a nasty slime monster. She must cope with being a slutty tentacle monster in a land of mortals. Your words will either give her hope or drive her insane. Helena, your shy but loyal maid is there to lend you a hand whenever you need it, but she’s inexperienced in the bedroom. I chose to be a whore for this game, and whipped her into shape literally and figuratively.

You also meet Abbadon, a girl pretending to be a boy who struggles with her sexuality. You can change her into a real boy, but the question is, are you looking to take dick or pound some pussy? Her fate is in your hands.

The game has a large cast of quirky characters. The only thing samey about them is that they’re all sex-crazed maniacs, who just need a little encouragement to unlock their inner slut.

Debauchery in Caelia Kingdoms is a really well-thought out story with multiple subplots coming and going, impacting the arc sometimes long after it has been supposedly ‘settled’. The world is explored in great detail, along with your relationships with the other characters. The potential consequences of your choices are explained to you, so you can guess what might happen. This makes it easier to plan the future you want for your fictional kingdom.

One major drawback to this game is the randomness of the situations. For example, when you first meet Abbadon, you have to earn her support before you start organizing a public orgy with her. You run a gladiator tournament to raise funds for the sex event. You meet Abaddon’s rival, strike an alliance with them, them them dispose of some bandits. All of these plot lines are intertwined with scenes where you must help Lucina come to terms with her slime monster identity. You also have to make decisions on the fates of random citizens that only show up for one day. These events make the game an immersive experience if you ever wanted to feel what it was like to rule a kingdom hundreds of years ago, but it also sometimes feels like the author is trying pad their game.

There doesn’t seem to be much combat in this game. It’s a shame because I went to great trouble studying all my skills and attacks, and building my character ready for battle. I only fought two battles in 200 in-game days.

GRAPHICS

Debauchery in Caelia Kingdoms is a text-based porn game. The game has little visuals, but, it’s not completely void of imagery. Important in-game characters have their own sprites, which are drawn in a quirky but beautiful style. The characters range from timid and shy to horny and slutty. The game is confined to the menu screen which has multiple tabs for inventory, locations, and other.

While the menu looks pretty compared to many other text-based porn games on the market, I wouldn’t mind improvement in the visual department. Staring at the same basic screen without sexy bitches popping up can hurt the player’s enjoyment. It’s a shame the artist couldn’t be kidnapped and forced to draw more cocks and pussies to keep things interesting. Hopefully the developer will add more visuals in future builds.

GAMEPLAY

Before you begin the game, you design your character. You choose his / her look gender, appearance, character class, sexual preferences, etc. Each of these decisions shapes how people within the game respond to you. For example, if you choose your character class to be a whore, you’ll be skilled at sucking dicks, but you can expect to face trouble when fighting monsters.

You can read pages of the story on the main screen, which sits at the center. Each day presents the player with a unique situation, or an update on some ongoing story arc. The events are expressed in wonderful detail before the game asks you to make a decision. You advance the story by clicking ‘decision’ buttons that appear on the screen. Depending on your choice, corruption in the city either increases or decreases. Your decisions either cost you gold or earn you gold and public support.

The story choices shape the world and take plot lines into different directions. There are multiple branching story arcs and endings, but only five save slots. It’s impossible to fully map out the story without playing it several times.

The game sports a very intricate and detailed menu of options which can be confusing to navigate at times. It’s easy to forget that you already have certain items in your possession, or that you’ve forgotten to put your followers to work. Some options only become available later on, which also makes it harder to play optimally. This game does not alert you about anything.

One of the more complex aspects of the game is the management of your main resource, gold. You need gold to pay the salaries of soldiers, pay for their food and armors. But opportunities to make gold are infrequent, and you often must spend gold to make more of it. Public orgies don’t come cheap!

All the sexual encounters are textual. Fortunately the sex is well described, and suffices for a good fap, assuming you’re into written porn. Depending on your class (I was a cheap big-breasted bunny whore), you can choose to have sex whenever you want, but there are only a few erotic walls of text to read in the current build. There are also special sex scenes that occur infrequently. You will battle monsters and enslave them. You can fuck their brains out later. You can also train your slaves to masturbate, or deny them masturbation, to train them to be more obedient. The game features bondage themes.

Debauchery in Caelia Kingdoms lacks sexy artwork, but it makes up for this with detailed descriptions of erotic orgy fuckfests, which your characters join in. You can fuck all the aforementioned girls Abbadon, Alba, Lucina, Helena – you can even seduce random poor schmucks off the street, just to have sex with them. These scenes are good fap material. The length of the scenes adds oomph to the experience. The scenes retain a high standard of juiciness, each taking at least a minute to read through. The sex scenes also tend to start out innocent and intimate, but quickly escalate to incredible heights of perversion.

One of my favorite things about this game is that even though you’re a total badass monarch of your own kingdom, some bitches won’t fuck you just because you got a crown. They want love, emotional support, and expensive gifts before they drop their panties. Including the seduction process to precede the sex acts adds unpredictability to the story, because you don’t know when your romantic actions trigger their desire. This makes you anticipate sex at any moment, while forcing you to emotionally invest into the characters before you plow them. The end result is a sloppier, nastier, more long-lasting orgasm.

CONCLUDING WORDS

Debauchery in Caelia Kingdoms features numerous erotic scenarios, and detailed story lines that get you invested in the fate of your kingdom of darkness. The attention to detail in the menu screens is amazing and the dialogue is written well. Despite the game focusing on pornography, you also build emotional relationships with the characters while helping them through their personal problems. The experience is immersive and fun, and leaves you starving for more content of similar quality.
