STORY

GAMEPLAY

Daddy’s Goodnight Kiss is a visual novel made with Renpy. Click the screen to progress the story. The game prompts you with branching dialog choices at key moments in the story. Press CTRL to skip dialogue. Press ‘H’ to hide the dialogue box.

Stats can be raised at home, or in town. You level up the stats halfway at home, then find a special location in town to raise them higher. You can start lifting weights at home, but soon you won’t be making “gains” anymore, and have to enroll at a gym.

There is an achievement system that serves as a game-guide to show you which scenes you’ve unlocked so far. Once you’ve gotten all achievements, you’ll know that you’ve 100% completed the game.

GRAPHICS

The quality of the 3D character models in this game range from professional to grotesque.

The stepdaughter looks like a total cutie pie. With multiple expressions and poses to convey her emotion, she is truly a work of art! In contrast, almost every other character is depicted as expressionless and robotic.

Characters wear the same outfits every single day. They either have closets full of the exact same pants and shirts, or they never wash their wares. Either way, characters wearing the same outfits in a game with semi-realistic 3D art makes the characters feel inhuman. On the special occasions they do change outfits, it is for a one-time scene.

The user interface is streamlined and easy to access. At the house menu, you’re given a side view of the house with all the rooms. Click a room to see what’s going on inside. It’s very smooth and simple design.
