Sweet Seasons, developed by Studio Gamaii. A puzzle game, where you turn every tile on the screen, with the aim of clearing the table before you run out of moves. The hentai here is limited to a cute girl standing next to the game board, shouting gameplay hints, and stripping naked. Available for Windows 7-10 operating systems.

Hey, I’m a new freelance writer here. Hope you like my stuff!

GAMEPLAY

Flip the tiles, clear the stage, get closer to seeing your girl in nude! Each level cleared makes them lose one piece of clothing. You got four girls, Hazel, Yuki, Daisy, and Julia. Each of them appears twice in the game, first time wearing normal clothes, and second time in “formal” clothing. Hazel is the shy wall-flower type, Yuki is sassy and constantly trashtalks you, Daisy is a free spirit hippie, and Julia is your typical sun-tanned beach babe.

The game has 48 puzzles total. Every girl has 6 puzzles. When you clear all the stages from one girl, she strips in the gallery mode. First puzzles include only the default tiles, then come tiles that can’t be turned with a tap, then tiles that turn every tile on a straight lines, and so on.

STORY

The game has no story. Whoops! Let’s discuss the characters then. Every girl has a (paper-thin) personality. Hazel is just really passive, though gives out lots hints on almost every stage. Yuki will mock you on every stage, so if you’re into abusive tsunderes, she’ll push your buttons good. I just ignored everything she said except for game-related info. Daisy is more the supportive type, praising you for doing good. She’s really care-free, the total opposite of Yuki. Julia is pretty self-absorbed and uninteresting. She was my least favorite,  I don’t want to talk about her.

The girls’ don’t say any sexy lines, and their personalities don’t particularly stand out.

ART

The art is done by Peekeasy-NSFW. Despite being very simplistic, his style was very pleasing to my eyes. Each girl has their own thing going on, and their own theme music. Each girl’s pesonality was easy to tell based on their poses. The backgrounds are fine, drawn in similar simple pastelle-colored style as the characters.

It kind of bothered me how Daisy, Hazel, and Yuki have the same park background, only in different seasons, while Julia is at the beach. It makes intuitive sense for a girl to get naked on the beach (think nudist beaches), but tossing your clothes off in a park? I don’t know any society where that would fly.

At the end of the day, having played this game, you can’t help but feel like you want more. The positive connotation is that you tasted something that was pretty good, but that it also left you empty. Looking at these girls, their art isn’t that sexy, and certainly not detailed. Their every pose is very basic, and only two poses break the mold. Would’ve been fun if they did something actually sexy, like pole dancing, or wiggling their tits.

HENTAI

There’s barely any hentai in this game. You get a picture of a naked lady, period. There is almost zero sexual reward for solving a puzzle that might drain you several days to solve. My dick remained untouched in my entire playthrough. It was sad.

MUSIC

Every girl has her own musical theme, thankfully none of them annoying! You may get tired of hearing the same tracks eventually, especially when you get stuck on a stage. Hazel’s song reminds of a calm walk in the park, while Yuki’s song sounds like something from an educational game. Daisy’s song didn’t leave any impression on me and it was the most forgettable. Same with Julia, fuck her.

SOUND EFFECTS AND VOICE ACTING (SFX)

The game has no voice acting. I would’ve liked to hear at least a girly giggle.

The sound effects I found annoying. The “try again” jingle was so demoralizing, it made me ragequit.

CONCLUDING WORDS

I really enjoyed the puzzles, despite the game not offering much in terms of rewards for solving them. I personally go through the motions of try, try harder, get frustrated, leave the game for the rest of the day, then try again and succeed. It’s a cheap little game, like imagine buying a crossword magazine. Hours of fun brain-bugging challenges for a low price. Recommended!
