STORY
Devoted Knight Kuon has been a close friend of Princess Dia since childhood. Six months ago, the king of this nation died, leaving Dia as heir to the throne. Everything seemed perfect until a scheming minister tried to usurp the throne!
Working alongside the evil knight Wart, the minister overpowers Kuon and captures Princess Dia! To stop the minister from seizing power, Kuon takes the royal ring from Dia and becomes a fugitive. Will Kuon be able to defeat the evil minister and his knight Wart? Or are both ladies doomed to become sex slaves for life?
As Kuon explores a hidden forest, she discovers the grimoire of the female demon Empusa. Empusa offers her a deal. Kuon will become far stronger, but in exchange, Dia will become super slutty!
While the minister spreads rumors that Kuon tried to usurp the throne, Kuon focuses on finding Master Boro to aid her in her quest. Boro was the right hand man of Kuon’s father, so he has great skills in intelligence gathering that will help Kuon on her quest.
At the end of the story, Kuon is forced to face a werewolf and the dark knight Wart! If she fails, she will be enslaved! But if she wins, she will be free from her contract with Empusa, and Princess Dia will finally be crowned Queen of the kingdom!
Overall, the story is simple and easy to follow. It is forgettable overall, but fun while it lasts.
GAMEPLAY
Use arrow keys for movement. Press ‘Z’ to talk to NPCs and activate items. The ‘X’ button cancels dialog and menu choices. Press CTRL during dialogue while also pressing ‘Z’ to skip text. Press Shift to hide text boxes during dialogue.
The game cycle is simple. Battles are automated via icon encounters. Walk into enemies to auto-kill them in exchange for HP. Return to bed to restore your HP. Defeating enemies will reward you with experience points and valuable items that you can sell in town. Death will strip you of your money, so be sure to rely on Empusa’s power when neccesary!
Press ‘A’ and your attack power will increase dramatically. Just remember to check the pause menu and see the count of how many times you used the power. Overusing the power will lead to a sexual event for Princess Dia.
If you do not rely on Empusa’s power, the game will be incredibly grindy. As in, the game will be three times longer! A playthrough without Empusa will take 4 hours and be completed at level 40. Abusing Empusa cuts play time to 1 hour.
GRAPHICS
The anime style art is gorgeous. There are 67 CGs total, split across 17 base CGs. Kuon is a shapely and sexy brunette who keeps her emotions hidden. She’s a trained, disciplined knight who needs to get fucked.
The world design is fantastic. There are five basic locations: Forest, Sewers, Mine, Town, and Castle. Each region has unique enemies and pathways to explore. You’re inspired to feel a sense of wanderlust as you search each nook and cranny.
Due to an over-reliance on standard RPG Maker assets, the visuals aren’t unique or exciting. The world design is great, but the visuals are generic. You yourself could create these environments, since the textures are publicly available online.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
Devoted Knight Kuon has no voice acting.
Sound effects are standard RPG Maker assets. Because Kuon is a simple swordswoman, there are very few opportunities to use sound effects. There is no magic, only the blade. The sound design in this game is nothing different than any other RPG Maker title. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but veteran RPG players are sure to feel annoyed.
MUSIC
There are 82 musical tracks in the game. Most of them are stock RPG Maker assets. The few that are unique are well made. It’s too bad they’re less than a minute long. By the time you’re nodding your head to the beat, the track repeats itself.
Drums keep the beat, while cymbals and guitar provide the melody. The music is digitally created, but the familiar instruments are still very enjoyable. If only these tracks were longer, they would be good!
HENTAI
There are 17 base CGs to match the 17 erotic scenes. All scenes are split between Kuon and the princess.
When Kuon uses her demon powers, it ensures that Princess Dia will have an erotic scene. When Kuon loses a battle, she herself will be creampied! The scenes are pretty vanilla and lack any form of build up. The focus of this game is the taboo of these dignified ladies. The noble knight who guards the throne becomes a cum bucket for some bandit scum! And the petite princess gets her pussy creampied by men she’s never even met before! Looks like the next descendant of the royal family will be born from the sperm of a criminal!

Devoted Knight Kuon is a simple and fun hentai RPG. The story is well paced, the character progression mechanics are satisfying, and the characters are likable.
