STORY
You are the average wanker on his last week of school before summer break. Find and romance a lovely lady before school ends! Once you’ve creampied her and gotten her pregnant, you will inherit your grandfather’s wealth!
The game has no overarching plot. It’s a slice of life visual novel that progresses extremely slowly. The game can take up to ten hours to complete, not because of plot twists, but because the storytelling focuses on the small stuff. Eating breakfast and getting ready for school is over 15 minutes of dialogue!
The story takes place in two parts. The first part is the longest. The player is given various choices as they meet all of the potential waifus. The second part of the story has no choices, and the player has lots of sex. Basicallly, the first part has no sexual content, while the second part has no choices.
The world-building in this game is incredible. Each character has a unique personality with cute dialogue that makes it hard to decide your favorite. The females are MILFs, tsunderes, tomboys, and more. Thanks to the believable writing, the story is a smooth read and feels shorter than it actually is.
CHARACTERS
Yuichi Yagami is the main character. His father is dead, so he works a part-time job to take care of his Mom. He needs to impregnate one of the seven available girls, to inherit his grandfather’s fortune.
Hiyo Yagami is your little sister. She’s a silly and childish girl who wears her hair in pigtails. Her hairpin changes its expression to match Hiyo’s feelings. She is eager to please!
Haruka Yagami is your mother. She’s a caring and considerate woman who worries about you constantly. With cascading purple hair and a busty frame, she’s a total cutie pie!
Marina Tachibana is your childhood friend. She’s a modest girl who secretly has a crush on you. She cooks for you all the time and is perfect in every way except she lacks confidence. Her love for you is the strongest of any girl.
Kanna Tachibana is the mother of your childhood friend. She’s the married MILF next door. If you love the idea of impregnating a married woman and leaving her husband clueless, go bang Kanna!

GAMEPLAY
Hara Kano is a visual novel. You click the screen to advance the story. Scroll up to view the text log. Press CTRL to skip ahead. Right click to hide the text box.
During the first half of the game, you’ll be given choices that will steer you towards one girl or the other. The second half of the game is completely linear with no unique choices whatsoever. There are seven girls to choose from. Once you’ve completed the routes for all seven, you can see the harem ending, making for a total of eight endings.
Choices always have significant impact and exciting outcomes. For example, when your childhood friend offers you lunch, you can say “I’d prefer if another girl made me lunch”. You can crush her dreams without a care!
My one complaint is that the player starts without access to the world map. You can’t start your free roam tour around town until two hours into the game. If players had access to the map sooner, the gameplay would be more exciting.
GRAPHICS
The art is in Japanese anime style. Each girl has a unique design that sets them apart from the other. The neighborhood MILF always has an apron on, while the businesswoman always wears a sexy pencil skirt!
The visual presentation of this game is incredible. Cut-in images are used frequently. Character stills are fully animated to move, breathe, and blink. Each background image is completely unique and has multiple variations for time of day. With hundreds of cut-ins, backgrounds, and standing images, this game is an absolute work of art.
Most sex scenes are not animated, but the few that are will make you cum buckets! The tomboy has an animated cowgirl sex scene that is totally orgasmic! You see her bouncing up and down on your cock!
Whenever a full screen CG is displayed, the dialogue box becomes a small square in the corner. The box moves to different corners of the screen depending on which artwork is showing, letting you always see character faces.
Each girl gets a unique text color when you speak to her. This is a great little detail, though makes it sometimes hard to read. Thankfully, you can fully customize this and many other features in the options menu.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
Hara Kano features full voice acting for all the seven girls. This game can last for over ten hours. The sheer volume of voiced lines is insane. It gets to a point where you forget that you’re talking to fictional characters!
Your little sister has a high pitched squeal while your mother has a sultry tone. My favorite actress was the tomboyish girl, because she’s trying so hard to be feminine and sweet. When she’s being herself she can be so loud and mischievous, but her romantic feelings make her seem meek. She’s so cute, I loved every single word from her!
The sound design in this game is the epitome of perfection. You hear water faucets, knocks at the door, phone vibrations, and a million other things! The developer put painstaking attention towards customizing every scene with unique sound effects to fit every action.
MUSIC
There are 12 songs on the soundtrack. The bulk of the game relies on a handful of musical tracks. As the setting is a residential romance, there’s not much room for dramatic tracks. Most songs feature a soft piano and harp music to create a relaxed atmosphere. Even though some music is techno or digitally synthesized, it all blends together into a forgettable suburban soundtrack. It does the job, but it’s nothing special.
HENTAI
The hentai content is restricted to the second half of the game. This means that you’ll be playing a minimum of two hours with no sexual content whatsoever. Once you choose a waifu, you’ll see constant and frequent sex scenes for the rest of the game until your child is finally born.
With seven females to choose from, you need to impregnate all of them to unlock the harem ending. Most girls are virgins waiting to be deflowered. Even after they’re pregnant, they still ask for sex and attention!
There are 27 scenes in total. Some characters get more scenes than others, and your childhood friend obviously gets the most. My favorite scene was sleeping with the neighbor’s wife! He’s a clueless cuckold while I plow and creampie his wife! She’s pregnant with my child, and that idiot cuck had no idea!

Hara Kano is a long and detailed visual novel from a respected Japanese studio. The artwork is varied and glorious, with tons of animations and chibi cut-ins. The voice acting is awesome, and matches the sound effects perfectly. This game is a slow burn, but the erotic scenes are totally worth the wait. And if you can’t choose a favorite waifu, the harem ending is truly satisfying!
