Sphilia is the descendant of the great holy mage who defeated the Demon Lord! It is now her job to continue what her ancestor started, and defeat the Demon Lord once and for all. As her traveling companion, you can earn her love or get her fucked along the way!

STORY
Sphilia is on a quest to find and destroy the Demon Lord! She conjures you into this realm, you will be her familiar! Together, the two of you must battle the demons known as the elite four, and save the world!
The writing in this game is spectacular. The dialogue is funny, the lore is interesting, and the characters all feel alive! Early on you can talk to people and learn that the desert village to the south needs water. If you buy water in the north, you can sell it for double the price down south, easy profit! Things like this make the world feel realistic and engaging to be in.
There are tons of side quests and optional encounters. Corrupting Sphilia into a whore will unlock even more events and scenes. It is possible to sell Sphilia into sex slavery and begin a cuckold playthrough. This is easily avoided, but if you choose to, you can watch her and the Elite Four demon girls fall for another man instead of you! Optional NTR content is always appreciated!
This game is close to perfect in everything except the ending. Multiple fourth wall breaks are spread throughout the game, so I always suspected the endings would suck. Sadly, I was right. Without spoilers, I will tell you that the endings were not satisfying.
GAMEPLAY
Sphilia’s Familiar was created with RPG Maker VXAce, the most common version of the engine. Use the arrow keys to move. Press Z and X to interact with the world. Press CTRL to skip dialogue. Hold the Enter key to speed up battle animations.
The game cycle is simple. Defeat enemies to earn money which you spend in town in exchange for items. As you grow stronger, you’ll be able to explore more of the world around you.
This game is the essence of a fantastic RPG Maker title. There’s level grinding, there’s stealth mechanics, dungeon puzzles, trade routes, and many other things that create an exciting and enjoyable RPG experience. Instead of random encounters, enemies are icons that you can avoid or pursue at your leisure. Weak enemies can be auto-defeated without battle, allowing for easy and fun grinding.
Though the experience is linear, the player does have some control over the narrative by the choices they make. When you need to help a hobo, will you give him some food or let him fuck your girlfriend? And when you need money will you become a merchant trader, or send your girl to work at the brothel? These choices and many more make for an exciting and potentially erotic experience, if you so choose.
Sphilia has three basic sex stats. Her “Babe” level represents her self worth and devotion to her quest. Her “Slave” level shows her devotion to you as a potential sex slave. Her “Slut” level shows how much she loves having sex with other men. Keep her “Babe” level the highest, or she will quit her journey and care only about sex. These stats can be decreased at a church. Your stats decide which ending you get.
Completing the game unlocks all scenes as well as “debug mode”, which gives you infinite levels and money. After five hours of adventuring, this is a great reward! My only complaint is that I wish it was longer!
GRAPHICS
The art is Japanese anime style. From sitting sex positions to numerous gangbang positions, this artist handles it all with consistent character proportions and incredibly erotic visuals.
There are 44 base CGs with over 350 alternate images to fill the 70+ erotic scenes. From facial expressions to clothing variations, many scenes have a level of visual variety that make them exciting even when a CG occasionally repeats. For example, scenes with demon form Sphilia are simply a color palette swap.
Significant attention is given to in-game sprites. There is a unique sprite for all main characters, creating instantly recognizable designs. Sphilia’s sprite also changes depending on the clothing she wears.
The world is enormous. Most memorable were the holy city of Asgard and the trading hub of Laoda. There’s a volcanic area, an ice zone, and many others! The sheer variety and expansiveness of the world is incredible! Some buildings like the nobleman’s mansion have three floors, giving you even more area to explore!
While most of the game relies on still images, there is an animation or two. The animated handjob scene was totally unexpected and very erotic. To watch Sphilia lick and stroke in such a realistic fashion, I couldn’t help but cum in my pants!
