STORY
After her parents died in an accident, Shizuku Oikawa has been left with five million dollars in debt. With that setup, you’re dropped into the game’s world to create your own story!
The vast majority of player skills are based on sex. Whether it’s breeding monsters or servicing men, the game operates under the assumption that your character is a whore. Story progress is reflected by sex scenes getting more and more wild.
This story is best taken as a slice of life simulation. Often times you’ll see a party of RPG heroes come into town, talking about dungeons and upgrading weapons. It’s funny because it emphasizes that this game is about the people who stay in town.
You start out working part-time jobs, but by the end of the game you can own your own shop! And while you start out with monsters hating you, pretty soon they’ll be following you back to the ranch to become your livestock!
GAMEPLAY
Drop Factory was created with RPG Maker. Use the arrow keys to move around. Press W to hide text boxes. Press CTRL to skip dialogue. The developer released this game with his very own game guide, I highly recommend reading through it.
This game is not about level grinding, corruption, or exploration. Most of the game takes place in a single town, and you only need to fight monsters to sell them in town. There is no antagonist or reason to level up. In fact, the developer discourages you from doing that, because the skill point system is far more effective.
Doing jobs and having sex will earn you skill points to distribute in your various stats. I highly recommend reading the guide because skills like “Mental” and “Singing” are pretty vague.
Outside of character stats, you also have job skills. Cooking, milking, ranch work, and animal breeding are all vital to running a hentai farm. Some of these skills are very specific. Your “service” skill helps you seduce monsters with your mouth and tits. Meanwhile your filming skill helps you make more money from filming porn of yourself.
This game will easily take 15 hours to complete. Paying off 5 million dollars of debt takes a long ass time! Even the most patient of players will get bored, especially because all sex scenes can be unlocked after a few hours.
As a free game, this title lacks the polish you would expect from professional titles. For example, players have no indication when new equipment is available. You’ll have to visit the armor shop randomly and hope for the best. Another example is that early in the game, running away from battle is very unreliable. Often times your character will be blinded, unable to run, and you have to watch a slow and painful loss. At least add a surrender button!
Many features of this game aren’t introduced in a timely manner. I found myself with nothing to do but repetitively work to pay off the debt. In the late-game you can craft accessories and manage your own farm, but these features should have been introduced sooner. Rather than level grinding, most of this game is money grinding! In spite of its flaws, this is a completely unique experience unlike any other.
GRAPHICS
The art is hand-drawn Japanese anime style. This developer is also a well known artist who has released numerous doujins on DLSite over the past decade. The art is all his, and he even recycled some images from Vitamin Quest.
With only 15 base CGs in a 15-hour game, it goes without saying that things get repetitive fast. And if you dislike squid sex or birthing scenes, the visual excitement is not there. Before you play this game, you need to accept that there are fewer artworks than you might expect.
Erotic animations are regular. You have animated blowjobs and vaginal sex in battles. These animations are small, but if you lose in battle they’re zoomed in on for viewer enjoyment. There are at least 10 unique pixel animations to be found, each hotter than the last!
Rather than random encounters, enemies roam the dungeons, and can be avoided if you want. Speaking of dungeons, there are five in the game and there’s no treasure or traps to be found.
The screen resolution on this game is very limiting. While the sprites do the job I wish there was more detail. Only two or three enemies can be on screen at any given time due to the combat setup. While this is visually pleasing, it keeps the difficulty stagnant.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
Drop Factory has no voice acting.
The sound effects in this game are primarily standard RPG Maker stock fodder. You have your classic slash sound, magical poof, etc. This game carries over assets from Vitamin Quest. There are no licensed assets or original tracks, making for a bland auditory experience.
MUSIC
The soundtrack has 38 songs, most of which are stock assets. All tracks are digitally synthesized to resemble real instruments like guitar and drums. As much as I love “Village track 1” or “Battle Track 25”, there is no denying the lack of original content. Many of these tracks are highly compressed as well, which flattens out the tone and pitch. It sounds like music from the 1970s, and not in a good way.
HENTAI
There are 15 base CGs spread out across 15 base events. Some events like childbirth have variations for different monster babies.
In one scene, Shizuku gives a blowjob to the boy she is tutoring. In another scene, a random guy sticks his dick directly into her nipple, deforming her breast in one of the most grotesque scenes I have ever seen.
In one scene, Shizuku has sex with her pet orc to breed new livestock to sell. In another scene, she’s attached to a milking machine while someone she knows gropes her tits and cums all over her.
Shizuku is the opposite of a virgin. She loves sex, and you’re able to engage in prostitution the second you start the game. Many men creampie her pussy, the only way to keep track is with the sex stats in the pause menu.
Shizuku has the tendencies of a free-use whore, yet she has only four sex partners in the entire game outside of monsters. She never even has a threesome! While the focus on impregnation and birthing is awesome, more scenes would have helped this game.
CONCLUDING WORDS
Drop Factory is one of the longest RPG Maker games on the market today. From raising livestock to filming pornos, the sheer variety of things you can do is astounding. The focus on impregnation and birthing is awesome, but I wish there was some kind of story to motivate things. The game is completely free for all the porn addicts of the world.
