You’ve discovered a book that lets you rewrite fairy tales with lewd endings! There are four waifus to choose from! Solve the puzzles, chase the girls, and fill them all with cum!
The original name of this game was “FairyTale Tag”, but its title was changed in its Steam localization.
STORY
The four girls are Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, and Thumbelina. Knowledge of these stories is not required to enjoy the experience. You must first complete Red Riding Hood’s storyline to unlock the other girls. While Red gets fucked and eaten by the wolf, Thumbelina gets harassed by a frog. Each girl goes through unique scenarios, with Red’s being the darkest.
There is no overall story beyond the lewd events of each girl. There are some twists like escaping the wolf’s stomach, but that just leads to getting fucked by a human in the woods. It’s not Shakespeare, but the stories are enjoyable nonetheless.

You play the pursuer hoping to catch the girl in every story. One moment you’re a wolf, the next you’re a fairy. For every one step you take, the girl takes one step as well. The idea is to slow her down by changing the environment and misleading her.
Each character you control has a unique ability. The Wolf can enter stealth mode and move twice. The slime can create walls in her way. The fairy can change the bounce location of mushrooms. Each power is simple to learn, but must be used in a clever way to catch the girl.
There are 16 levels in total, four for each girl. You can skip a puzzle after failing it, or retry after learning her patterns. Each puzzle lasts under five minutes, but will likely take multiple attempts. You can only save before and after a puzzle.
While the game may be described as a “turn-based chase” with “tracker” mechanics, it’s more about trial and error. There is usually only one right way to complete a level. So instead of a free-form puzzle, this is more like a riddle. There is only one answer. Due to this, the game seriously lacks replayability.
GRAPHICS
The art is absolutely fantastic, drawn in a variation of the anime art style unique to this developer and his games. With four main ladies to enjoy, each of the 16 scenes feels fresh and exciting after every puzzle.
The artist is great at realistic body proportions, which stay consistent between scenes. Thumbelina has small breasts compared to red riding hood, but that big round ass is absolutely perfect from the first-person perspective. The loving attention to detail makes this a joyride for the eyes. Little details, like one breast having saliva on it after it was sucked, or the apple with a bite mark in it after Snow White ate some.
An odd quirk to this game is the use of a rectangular resolution in spite of perfectly square CG images. This means every scene has bars on the sides of the image, usually drawn to match the color scheme. This may bother some people, since it’s a strange choice in visual design.
The core gameplay experience was created using stock textures from the RPG Maker library. The user interface however, is unique to this game. The righthand side lists controls just in case you’ve gone a while without playing. I really loved the ability to pan the camera and see more of the puzzle ahead. With some intuition, completing a puzzle should be a lot faster thanks to this ability.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
Red Riding Hood is voiced by Tyrolean Oyama. Snow White is voiced by Sugar Shio, Alice from Wonderland is voiced by Koyama Haru. And Thumbelina is voiced by Yukiko Shinomori. As you’ve probably guessed, the voice acting was done in Japanese, and each girl has a high-pitched voice filled with squeals of delight. Consequently, English-speaking players may be unable to tell them apart. However, their ability to capture the innocence and cuteness of each girl is phenomenal.
The game features some unique sound effects mixed in with stock assets. Whether it’s a boulder rolling down a hill or a dick being shoved in a woman, the sound design conveys the impact of each action well, and compliments the voice acting masterfully.
MUSIC
Each girl and stage is set apart by its sound design. Red Riding Hood has harps and digitally synthesized flutes, while other characters rely on some more percussion-based instruments. Tracks are both licensed and stock assets. The stock assets can sometimes hurt the experience, since they don’t always match the puzzle gameplay. However, the main menu piano theme was a start to the game, providing a foreboding but light tone that leaves players intrigued to get started.
HENTAI
There are 16 sex scenes in total. Due to the fairy tale nature of the game, most scenes involve forest creatures fucking the girls. In one scene, Alice gets fucked by a griffin. In another scene, a drunk hunter chases down and fucks Red Riding Hood.
Each girl starts out a virgin and gets violated after a puzzle or two. Red Riding Hood hates it all throughout but other girls enjoy it and get corrupted into lewd sluts. Doggystyle and missionary are the standard positions. All CGs have variations for sweat marks, penetration, and ejaculation. The erotic text usually just states the obvious, like “the penis entered her from behind”.
It honestly felt like there were some missed opportunities for lewd content. Even if they were only cut-in images, I would have loved to see a focus on Alice’s thigh-high socks, or see Red Riding Hood without her hood.

The Fairy Tale You Don’t Know is a fun erotic puzzle game with an emphasis on chasing down famous waifus. The visuals are gorgeous, the voice acting is phenomenal, and the premise is so unique, it’s a total must-play experience.
