Let’s just say it out loud. This is one of the best Japanese hentai games that have been translated in the west. It has super sexy art by Homare, and a story that leads to explosively hot scenarios that are both fantastical and immersive in their realism. There’s magic, netorare, messy relationships, and even some gameplay beyond just clicking the screen.

STORY
There are two routes in this game; pure love and NTR.
Shion is our young hero. He is unable to use his magical powers even after coming of age. He is left in the care of a family that specializes in paranormal research. After finally unleashing his potential during a terrible incident, he’s taken under the mentorship of a skilled healer, named Rui. She promises to teach him how to control his powers. But in order to command magic, a mage must have profound knowledge about sex. Absurd as that premise may sound on face-value, it’s actually not so far-fetched. Sex, bodily fluids, are integral to certain occult rituals and black magic.
Rui is so dedicated to helping out the fledling mage that she even decides to go against her marriage vows, taking Shion’s virginity while tutoring him how to pleasure a woman.
Quoted directly from Mangagamer’s site: Rui is a skilled healer and Souya’s wife. She is the popular beauty of the village, equally loved by everyone. Cheerful and kind, she greatly respects her husband. Rui always dreamed of having a child, and Shion’s arrival granted her the perfect chance to finally channel all of her motherly love towards someone. As the village healer, Rui is a skilled user of restorative magic… although she lacks a partner who can appropriately replenish her mana!
However, the story has elements that can make it a less lovey-dovey mommy fetish romp. The other characters have their darker sides, such as the village chief, Gou, who is also Rui’s husband’s father. Rui’s husband is named Souya, which rhymes with soy! He’s a physically weak beta with glasses, who mostly spends his time in the basement, leaving his wife sexually frustrated, which Gou knows about. Gou is secretly a pervert who’s been developing his relations with Rui, with full plans to corrupt her! To reach this goal, he hires and guides several men to partake in his plot, turning the pious wife into a sexual powerhouse who won’t resist the approaches of men! The player’s juicy choices shape the storyline.
GAMEPLAY
This game is not exactly a visual novel, despite being fairly linear and story-focused. It has gameplay elements typical of RPGs, but it’s light on actual mechanics. You progress the story by controlling your character, who visits various locations shown on the map screen.
Alicesoft removed most of the complexity. You basically either spend time with Rui when you can, or you don’t. You have a few options to choose from, but the choices lead to very predictable outcomes. By defeating demons leaking from the magical gate, you gain ‘EP’, which you use to unlock the next chapter of the story.
As per the enemies, demons that you fight during the night are much stronger than the ones that appear during the day, but the bonus is that they grant more EP upon defeat, allowing you to progress faster.
As for combat, Shion automatically defeats any demons he fights, but you have to make sure to escape from the gate before he exhausts his endurance and magical power. You should be careful of swarms of enemies that wouldn’t give a lot of EP exhausting you!
In the NTR route, the game takes the form of a decision-based visual narrative adventure. The protagonist is Souya, Rui’s husband, controlled by the player. The decisions made in the story will ultimately decide Rui’s fate.
One key thing about this route is keeping an eye on the ‘Couple’s Bond’ metric. If the value gets too low, the player will be unable to select certain options during decision points, resulting in either a bad ending, or getting locked on a path you didn’t want. One way to fix it is by visiting Rui’s clinic.
GRAPHICS
This is a beautifully illustrated game. The art is top-notch, drawn by Homare, one of the best known hentai artists specializing in anime MILFs. There’s tons of saucy detail in every piece. Whether it’s the sex scenes or the backgrounds or just random assets, it doesn’t look like any corners were cut. From pixelated animations to the standing artworks of each character, everything works well and is easy on the eyes. The lightning, the linework, everything is top tier.
MUSIC
The soundtrack has its moments, but it’s mostly in the background filling the silence. You hear mostly a generic piano and keyboard doing their thing. In context of the game, everything works fine enough, but I would have warmly welcomed more inspired compositions that I could actually reminisce after playing.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
The voice acting is immaculate. Rui’s actress does an amazing job bringing her character to life. Her voice work is professionally done Japanese quality that shows a wide range of emotions. You can hear a change in the woman’s tone based on how the story is developing! Note, the males are not voiced, only the main waifu.
HENTAI
The sexual content is full of familiar tropes, like with the main male character knowing nothing about sex, being taught by a sultry woman who is plenty experienced, guiding him how to make love properly all the way to the climax.
The sex scenes in the game are censored as per Japanese standards. Dicks and pussies are blurred with pixels. But aside from that, the action itself is exquisite, combined with the great art and vivid voice acting, making for a fabulous fapping experience.
Rui has added incentive to sleep with men, because it replenishes her mana. She’s able to do more magic by having more sex. It makes sense to have this dynamic from a pornographer’s perspective, but I felt it was lazy writing. It makes everything too simple, unless that was the point entirely. When crafting a story about a married lady exploring her sexuality with other men and even having their babies, that complexity deserves to be explored. With the way the magic mechanics are set up, she is directly rewarded for her behavior, making it almost a no-brainer to do what she does.
CONCLUDING WORDS
This game is awesome in every conceivable way, only it’s not long enough. For a game with so much going for it, I felt it ended too quickly. Perhaps the developer ran out of budget or passion? There’s not enough dialog or events, to really establish things and build on them. The relative scarcity of scenes diminishes the impact of developments. Because there isn’t time to flesh out the setting or its residents, the betrayal feels weaker. The bones of a wonderful title are here, but Rui’s physical and emotional transformation wasn’t satisfying enough, even as many men pumped a bun in her oven.
