STORY

GRAPHICS
The visual design is undeniably one of its standout features. All five main girls have sprites, each boasting distinct features, such as varying hair and skin colors, eye shades and outfits. Though all of them look like they’re wearing the exact same bra size. There’s also the lack of poses.
The use of thin lines and light shadows in the artwork adds to a delicate, yet captivating aesthetic, enhancing the overall visual appeal. Artworks have variations for cock placement, sweat, changes in expressions and bodily positions. These variations not only add depth to the characters but also enhance the overall experience.
The CGs capture the sex from lewd camera angles that usually provide players with an up-close or bottom-upwards view. The decision to film these scenes from the latter angles adds a layer of sexiness to the visual narrative. There are about 20 CGs to unlock.
While the character sprites are impressive, the background artwork should not be overlooked. The game’s backgrounds, although lacking variations for day and night cycles, are meticulously detailed. Each scene is carefully crafted with intricate features, allowing players to immerse themselves fully in the game’s environment. Good examples of this is the city streets and the love hotel venues. The high-quality backgrounds pop against the character sprites, creating a striking contrast.
MUSIC
The soundtrack is fun, blending a mix of original and synthetic instruments. Some songs will be only one type, while others will fuse the keyboard while going hard on the piano. The inclusion of piano, keyboard, drums, saxophone, string plucking, drumbeats and guitar creates a rich and diverse musical experience. The game leans heavily into jazz (it really loves its saxophone) and surprisingly incorporates Arabian-inspired tunes sometimes.
St. Yariman’s Little Black Book has a good selection of songs. Each track is well-crafted, making the soundtrack enjoyable. The song selection is well-timed, perfectly aligning with the mood of each scene. Whether it’s the soft melodies of typical slice-of-life moments, the fast-paced Arabian/jazz beats during intense sex, or the relaxing tunes during peaceful interludes, you’re in for a good time.
GAMEPLAY
St. Yariman’s Little Black Book is a Visual Novel with basic VN mechanics. There is an ample number of save slots, though you won’t need any of them. The game lacks a branching storyline and features only one ending. Menu customization options, unfortunately, are limited to the conventional visual novel mechanics.
The Gallery Mode offers players a delightful opportunity to revisit unlocked CGs The Replay Mode enables players to relive their favorite scenes. There is no Music Library unfortunately. One bizarre aspect of gameplay is the immediate availability of a bonus route featuring the character Aya. It acts as a sequel to the game, but isn’t progress blocked like the CGs are.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
St. Yariman’s Little Black Book is fully voiced. Boy, do these girls put on a show. When they suck, it sounds like the actresses are trying to gulp down the actual microphone. It’s delightfully sexy. The dirty talk is spot-on with each girl managing to make you hard as a rock in their own way. Mana, Miho and Aya stand out, but everyone really is a joy to listen to. Non-sex scenes are no different. It sounds like everyone is enjoying their time in the booth, having fun with these characters.
The sound landscape is drier than I expected to be. Noises are seldom made and when they are, it’s things like vibrators being churned up against some slut’s cooch. The sex effects have some variety, with more than a few squelching and sloshing sounds, but the thrusting is repetitive.
HENTAI
