Some sites disallow monetization of the content, but still allow uploading. In effect, any company that wants to create commercially viable videos featuring lewd voice acting, has to consider the rules of both of the two dominant corporate conglomerates. Otherwise you’re leaving too much cash on the table, you’re fucking yourself for no reason.
Laws that govern sexual consent are now rigidly applied to hentai voice acting.
English hentai voice acting is already a tiny, tiny niche that’s growing slowly in parallel with the hentai industry. These regulations have the potential to make their work environment more difficult.
If you are a voice actor or actress, relying on random freelance gigs is not a good business plan anymore. Your best bet, in my opinion, is setting up your own verified channels on the big sites, and creating original voiced material, and raking in the ad revenue. You may want to draw a budget to commission original animations, which you can then provide your voice. You can also look for companies that need regular voice work. The most important qualification to get work is no longer talent. It’s whether you have the balls to forego your online anonymity.
