You’re in the presence of the God of Hentai Clickbait. His pronouns are Omnipotent and Omniscient. Before you were even born, He roamed the Earth, reading books and online articles, synthetizing wisdom from their contents. Having outsourced the content creation of His websites to acolytes, His infinite income is relatively passively generated, leaving this grand God-mind time to think, reflect, and organize emotions which took countless lifetimes to acquire. Hear the call of the abyss…
Guh, end of awkwardly poignant roleplay. Let’s get to this.
This gender debate pisses the fuck out of me. This notion that you can decide your own gender, and everybody who refuses to affirm that self-designation is a bigot, that is madness. If you believe that this is healthy behavior, and you’re developing lasting relationships by tyrannically asserting your unique complexity as something others must affirm, then by all means, have your fucking fun.
But if you feel that there is something profoundly fucked up about this cultural current, like, you feel wrong in a culture where it is assigned to gender and the associated pronouns the unique blend of traits that encompass your full person, then let me articulate that disturbed feeling for you.
There are now tens and even hundreds of gender identities.
You are dealing with absolute insanity. This insanity is spreading like a pandemic in the developed west, because it feeds narcissists. This pathological obsession with gender is infecting minds, upending the social order you cherish. How it began doesn’t even matter anymore, but read about post-modern relativism. This buttfuck insane philosophy spawned after the second world war.
Simply put, if we start fracturing and categorizing the human experience to this degree and slapping rubberstamps on that, nothing useful comes of it. Nothing useful.
Instead of making your gender identity the focal point of your life, here’s a better approach: There are personality tests that help you disseminate your own complexity. If you wish to understand yourself, do not falsely attribute personality traits to gender that have nothing to do with gender. Take a test.
The personality test I recommend, that felt authoritative to me, was Jordan Peterson’s, discoverable at understandmyself.com. His methods gather everyone’s answers into a database, which then spews out a percentage about your result in various spectrums, reflecting the commonality of your result. You’re thus getting a relatively accurate result of where you stand on spectrums. When I did this test, the result was, I’m in the top 1% and 0% on most spectrums. The result wasn’t surprising.
Here’s why I trust Peterson’s test. He encourages test-doers to do it in one sitting, answering the questions as honestly as possible. On the website, there are additional instructions when you should take it, to reduce inaccuracy. Do it during a calm moment, when your feelings are settled.
Don’t use his website, if you have some aversion to Peterson. There are many others.
The point is, after getting your personality assessment, here’s how you go about things: Instead of developing your beautiful complex uniqueness to a stratosphere that nobody can comprehend, soon telling everyone to affirm your super special identity, contemplate, what is the default median average for humans? What does everyone have in common? Now you’re on the path to sanity!
The practical reason for sticking to the gender binary, instead of exploring a spectrum, is that society needs simplicity to function. You need simplicity to function. Many negative things emerge when you add layers of complexity to areas of life. You need to make yourself as simple as possible, so other people have an easy time understanding you, allowing you to have lasting relationships with decent people. You can fight me on that, or you can accept the truth.
If you disagree and want to explore the options, I bid you a fun journey. You will waste time.
