STORY
Sisteritualย follows the exploits of average Japanese dude Yahiro, who is greeted by sisters Maina and Suzu. Maina is upbeat while Suzu is subdued. Both seem to harbor a forbidden liking towards Yahiro, but they act just proper enough to not make it obvious, well, at least by hentai standards.
One day after school, Yahiro is summoned by their grandmother. She informs him that their house is built on the site where evil spirits were once sealed away by their ancestors, but because they couldn’t be destroyed completely, their essence — smog — leaks out. Yahiro must purify this evilness by taking it into himself. To help him survive, he must regularly fuck both Maina and Suzu.
Yahiro takes this news horribly, but the very self-conscious and nervous Maina and Suzu help him get his dick to cum in both their pussies.
Sisteritual takes on a coming of age story, where these three leads learn to accept their feelings for one another. Interestingly for a hentai, the game takes some time out to deal with the awkwardness of such a situation, even if it’s regularly forgotten when some time since the last sex scene has elapsed. Certain scenes exist purely to set up the next sexual encounter, but there are a few genuinely touching moments between Yahiro, Suzu and Maina, which made my heart grow at least one size bigger.

GRAPHICS
Sprites in the game are limited to Maina and Suzu. Their appearances boast unique and adorable designs that highlight their youthful cuteness. Distinct features like their hair, eye color, bust size, and demeanor make them visually distinctive. Each sprite has one default pose, but multiple expressions. Maina and Suzu also showcase various outfits, including their uniforms, pajamas, being nude, track suits.
The background artwork employs thin lines, light shadows and vibrant colors. This style gives the backgrounds a unique visual feel that pops against the rest of the sprites only in certain scenes. The locations featured include the main house and a small shrine that looks particularly stunning.
The shrine location pops against the characters in the foreground, creating a visually striking contrast. Additionally, the school roof is another notable backdrop, as is the city, several rooms and facilities within the school such as the gym store room. While the neighborhood backgrounds offer simple detailing, they lack any particularly remarkable standout features.
MUSIC
The soundtrack offers a mixed experience with both familiar and synthetic elements. Some of the songs sounded incredibly familiar, leaving me to wonder if they were from other titles by the same developer.
The game utilizes synthetic instruments for most of its soundtrack. While this sometimes creates a unique and immersive soundscape, it lacks the warmth of live instruments. During lighter moments, the xylophone and keyboard take center stage, adding a playful touch to the score. These instruments contribute to the overall mood and enhance the whimsical atmosphere of this forbidden love story.
The game offers a good selection of different tracks, catering to various moods and scenes. One drawback is that when the mood becomes dire, the music doesn’t fit well. This mismatch between the music and the mood of the scene disrupted the emotional impact of some moments for me.
GAMEPLAY
Sisteritual is a kinetic novel game. You click the screen to advance the story. The narrative follows a linear path with no branching storyline or multiple endings. The game does include at least one choice throughout the story that has no significant impact on the ending.
The game includes a Gallery Mode where players can view unlocked CG artwork. There is also a Scene Replay Mode that allows players to replay their favorite events. CGs and other extras are unlocked after beating the game. There are also more than enough save slots available.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
Sisteritual features Maina and Suzu as the only characters with voice acting. I’d describe the voice actresses’ performances as wonderful to listen to. Their delivery throughout particular sections of the game adds depth and authenticity to the dialogue, thanks to the script allowing Maina and Suzu moments of levity, sincerity, and vulnerability. It certainly helped me feel sorry for them. During sex, the voice actresses, depending on the scene, sound either super cutely lewd, or just plain horny.
The sound effects library is overflowing with noises that help immerse you in this fictional world. Alarm clocks, doors, bells, running water and clothes ruffling can be heard throughout gameplay. Unfortunately, the sex noises sound incredibly generic. The thrusting is ridiculously stiff and becomes very repetitive. It forms the bulk of sex sounds within the game.
HENTAI
The sex is treated with compassion. Maina and Suzu’s first sexual experience is with lots of awkwardness, embarrassment and initial discomfort, mirroring real-life first time sexual encounters. The music is soft and intimate and the girls are noticeably subdued. Shortly after, Yahiro makes them cum by fingering both sisters together, much to their embarrassment.
The sex in the game gets progressively more intimate and lewd to reflect the girls becoming sluttier. In one scene, after being locked together inside the gym equipment room, Yahiro begins groping Maina’s breasts. He eagerly obliges and shoves his cock in her.
A later scene sees Suzu and Maina share Yahiro’s dick by taking turns licking his balls and shaft while wearing lewd expressions.
