Irodori Comics is a hentai doujinshi download site publishing some of the newest manga hitting the market, all translated into English. The site seems to be picking up steam, evidenced by the increasing number of new releases.
Here’s what they say about themselves, quoted directly from their ‘about us’ section:
Irodori Comics localizes and publishes Japanese doujinshi for Western fans to enjoy. Doujinshi are self-published “indie” manga, and as such, we work directly with artists in order to produce localizations that are true to their original vision. By doing so, we hope to expand Japanese doujinshi artists’ reach by providing their fans in the West an opportunity to support them directly whilst promoting the collaborative spirit of doujinshi culture across the world!
I have bought a couple products from them, and it was a smooth experience. The products I bought were a MILF comic, a yuri comic, and a couple entries in the original manga series of Mizuryuu Kei Land.
After my official review, I’ve rewatched the anime OVAs many times over the years, so buying the digital mangas was also my way of thanking the creator for the great orgasms.
The products are digitally downloadable PDFs, that you can easily re-download again from your account, should your PC break down or something. They’re DRM-free, so there’s no hassle with activation codes.
Viewing products is made easy. Every product page lists a lot of information and several manga pages. Eight pages seems to be their default. You can write customer reviews, but currently almost nobody seems to do that.
All the little things about the customer journey are done well, making for enjoyable shopping. You’re never confused about what’s going on, as there’s even a visual pop-up notification when you place a product in the cart. What makes this site so great is the layout of product pages. The layout leaves enough white space around to balance the huge amount of information.
The mangas are high-res, so you can zoom in close! The PDFs are on average 50-60 megabytes large and usually have 30-50 pages, making each page a little over 1mb. To put that into perspective, if the mangas were in color, they’d be several megabytes at the 3200 pixels height that the company puts them out in. That means the size of pages is very large. There is thus no pixelation on the material that I personally bought, but that doesn’t mean there couldn’t be some bad uploads.
There’s nothing complicated about this site, and that’s what I like about it. Whenever I feel like getting a high-quality fap manga, I check around what they got in their new releases section. The products are priced relatively low, with most mangas going for just $5-6, though some are priced at the range of $9-13, give or take.
There’s a 4-step payment process. Note, you can only pay with credit card at the time of writing.
Below is my tiny collection. I’ve only used the site for some months, so this is the extents of my experience. If you have more extensive experiences about Irodori to share, just post a comment, or email me.
Here, in my account page, I can easily download the mangas on my PC with a click. I’ve also saved these in a cloud drive, so if my laptop suddenly goes bust, I can restore my favorite porn instantly!
Now, browsing the site is mostly a good experience. But for some reason, the company lists doujinshi that hasn’t been translated, or it’s translated into like French. I don’t know why that is, but seems like somebody messed up. Maybe an employee ended up ticking some extra boxes at the admin dashboard? I don’t understand.
You can see one such product below. Why am I reading kanji in the English section? What the fuck?
Irodori has several labels. They’re publishing straight content, BL/yuri, all-ages doujinshi for straight and non-straight readers, Chinese translations and French translations. In addition to that, they’re doing monthly discounts on a rotating selection of 15 different mangas that put their price tags at 0.99 cents per download. How long this initiative will go on, I’m interested to see, because I’d definitely like more media companies adopting practices like this. Nothing feels better than getting quality products on sale, it makes you want to buy more.
Now, before I conclude this review, let’s talk about piracy, because I know some of you are thinking, why not just get everything for free from pirate sites?
Because most pirate sites have broken business models. Few can afford the huge server costs for hosting large files, so you get lower quality media. Ad revenue is seldom enough to keep these sites alive, so some start spreading viruses to supplement their income. I know a malware developer who specifically makes viruses for hentai sites, that are uploaded on computers when visitors download imagery. Stealthy crypto mining viruses are spreading.
Piracy also messes up product development. You won’t be sending market signals to companies to make more similar products with higher budgets, so you’re robbing yourself of higher quality experiences in the future. Also, most businesses float with profit margins of 5-10% at best, so most profits go directly to their workers and the media creators, not company executives. So, click the banner below and shop away.
