STORY
The story is centered around a married couple named Ron and Sarah. After discovering that Ron has a low sperm count, they need to decide how to move forward in life. Sarah says she does not want to adopt a stranger’s baby and wants one of her own. In the first cuck moment of the game, Sarah is the one to suggest getting a sperm donor and letting your cucked bloodline end.
You go to your best friend Dylan and ask if he will donate his sperm to your wife. Dylan says his only condition is that he gets to fuck your wife, rather than just jizz in a cup. You will be the legal father, but Dylan will be the biological father.
The core decision of this game is whether you agree with his condition. If you refuse, eventually Sarah will accept adoption and you both will live with that. If you accept his condition, Dylan gets his sperm tested and has exceptionally high results. At this point, your wife’s impregnation is inevitable.
While the overall scenario of the game is hot, the ending is such a radical departure from the beginning, that it’s hard to enjoy. There are two endings to this game; both somewhat drastic.
If you’ve read our review of My Happiness Not Her Happiness, you may recall that these games have virtually identical endings. The difference is, this game was created with a realistic art style, which makes it harder to accept.
At the start, Sarah is completely devoted to you. But after one good creampie, she’s effectively fallen for another man! That might work in an exaggerated hentai, but in this game, it just feels like a non-sequitur.
GAMEPLAY
Make Me Happy was created in the Renpy visual novel engine. This means you have all the standard functionalities that all visual novels should have. For example, you can auto-progress text or manually click to set the pace and make choices. These choices usually determine whether or not you will be a witness to the events taking place behind closed doors.
GRAPHICS
As the third game by this developer, there are definite improvements in regards to the realism and believability of the characters. In particular, this game has many more variation images than previous titles, so you can see how the flow of the conversation affects the character through facial expressions. A thoughtful face can transition to a troubled face, which may relax if given the right dialogue.
There’s also a greater variety of visuals outside the characters. Like when Sarah sits on the navy blue couch with bright orange pillows. Her red lips perfectly contrast with her baby blue towel, which is a major improvement over past titles where the setting is often more formulaic.
When the sex finally does occur, it’s incredibly hot. Seeing Dylan’s big fat cock stretch the entrance of your wife’s pussy is a glorious sight. And the varied positions like fucking from behind or doing the mating press also add a dynamic element to the scenes. The problem is the game extends beyond your first cuckolding. And the artist seemed to peak in the early part. The latter half doesn’t provide the same highs.
Another drawback to this style of game is that the vast majority of the experience happens indoors. This was remedied with the developer’s next title, Lost in Paradise, but it still weighs down the experience of Make Me Happy. I swear half of this takes place in a single bed, it feels too constricting and not adventurous enough for a porn game.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
Make Me Happy has no voice acting or sound effects.
MUSIC
A single piano music track is used throughout the entire run, which fills the background noise but doesn’t enhance the experience in any meaningful way.
HENTAI
While the early scenes of intimacy between the primary couple are nice, let’s be honest, we’re all here to see the wife getting fucked by another man. Due to the scenario being focused on sperm donation, there is less of an emphasis on erotic dialogue. There’s the standard “It’s so big” and all the rest, but there aren’t any elements of emotional infidelity or betrayal that are common in the cuckolding genre. That’s why when you get the divorce ending, it feels so incredibly jarring. I never got the impression that Sarah felt any deeper attachment to Dylan throughout the story.
There are no animations. Sex positions range from missionary to mating press, with occasional cowgirl sex. The immediate focus on sperm donation skips all the standard teasing present in most porn games. There’s no need for handjobs or condoms since the focus is on impregnation. That’s why the sperm-donor fetish is so well known, without being a central focus across the porn industry. Ultimately, the scenario does not lend itself to escalation, since it’s already at its peak. Some developers like Atelier Sakura still manage to pull it off, but that’s only after many hours of buildup to stretch the scenario to an extreme.
This developer created some hot artworks, but the instant creampie scenario simply does not lend itself to the visual novel format. This idea would be better as a porno than a full-on story.
CONCLUDING WORDS
Make Me Happy is an enjoyable sex game when approached as a free and fun cuckold quickie. The visuals are nice, the characters interact together well, and the plot is down to earth. But ultimately, any erotic story int his specific genre that beelines to impregnation from the start is handicapped by the fact that there’s nowhere else to go in terms of escalation. And if there is, this wasn’t explored here.
