The Goddess matchmaker Q-Piddy has blessed your life! With her guidance, you begin your harem of beautiful and fascinating women! And if you have the NSFW patch, you’ll them all in the bedroom!
This review is being written after 25 hours of active play, beginning in late November of 2021. The NSFW patch and a small amount of diamonds were purchased before playing this game. However, I only used the diamonds on special outfits, so the gameplay was unaffected and identical to the Free To Play experience.
PROMO: When you download games through links on Hentaireviews, we make original hentai comics.
STORY
The game begins with Q-Pernikiss (Q-Piddy), the little fairy who encourages you to find love in these girls. After that you only see her when you buy diamonds where she’ll thank you for your kindness.
As you meet more girls, you’ll begin to meet them through supernatural means. Like when Eva comes from another reality, where she was piloting her giant mech to fight monsters. In general terms, these girls come from a “dark portal” between worlds.
This culminates when you meet a girl named “The Dark One”. She is a goth alter-ego of the girl Mio, the 2nd girl you meet in the game. This confirms the dark portal is connecting worlds and realities that should be kept apart.
Dark Mio came through the dark portal hoping to destroy the world, but once she falls in love with you, she disappears and the threat is averted. In terms of gameplay, she literally disappears and cannot be interacted with after her plot line is concluded.
The final girl of the game is Q-Pernikiss (Q-Piddy). As a goddess, she plans to sacrifice herself to close the dark portal and save the world. This leaves the player with a choice. Will you let her do it, or sacrifice your own life instead?
If you let her die, she will disappear from the game forever, just like Dark Mio. If you sacrifice your own life, the game will soft-reset. The text in-game indicates this is the true ending of Crush Crush. You sacrifice yourself to save all of your waifus.
When it comes to gameplay, the choice also leads to two outcomes. Letting Q-Piddy die means you retain all progress and continue on like nothing happened. Sacrificing yourself will perform a simple soft-reset. You will retain your diamonds, time blocks, outfits, and all other miscellaneous items. But the girls will not remember you, and you’ll have to restart your jobs and hobbies.
According to the developer, the true ending of sacrificing yourself will only give a simple achievement. There are plans to add a hard-mode if you sacrifice yourself, but that has not happened yet.
CHARACTERS
There are currently over 45 unique characters in Crush Crush. Twenty of the girls are core characters of the story. They often make comments about one another and mention hanging out with each other. Of those twenty girls, two of them can die and be lost during the ending. This is because Dark Mio & Q-Piddy are central to the plot.
As of the time of writing, there are 26 girls locked behind DLC and events. During my time playing, I received Renee & Claudia simply for my daily logins. And you can use the diamonds you earn in-game to purchase the other DLC characters. So theoretically, it’s possible to get all the girls without ever spending real world money, though it would take a long time.
Outside of the +45 dateable girls, there are also 22 phone flings. These are girls you can text and receive sexy selfies from. Like Bonnibel’s little sister, “Babybelle”. The phone flings are all potential additions to the main cast. For example, Renee was originally a phone fling, but now she’s a fully voiced character that can be dated and romanced. If you get into this game, I highly recommend you participate in fan-polls to show your support for which girl you want next.
The primary girls are believable, yet unique. Like Quill, who thinks she’s a cat. Or Ayano, the yandere who murdered a classmate. Or Iro, who is based off Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. You can also date a literal fucking bear named Beverly. And of course, the best waifu is named Eva, she’s basically Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
The DLC girls are more magical and unexpected. “Explore”, is a waifu version of Internet Explorer. “Claudia” is a female version of Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII. Then there’s the psychic, the ghost girl, and the wide range of monster girls like the pink slime. I was 100% satisfied by the primary girls, but for some players, these wacky newcomers will be a whole lot of fun.
NSFW PATCH
Playing the game on Nutaku will automatically unlock all NSFW content. If played on Steam, the NSFW patch will cost $7.00. This patch unlocks “Uncensored mode” in the options menu, which adds nudity and 1 sex scene for every girl in the game. That’s over 45 sex scenes total! Best of all, this patch applies to future characters as well, so you only have to buy it once!
The patch adds a lingerie outfit and a nudity outfit for every girl in the game. These can only be seen once you max their affection stat. The patch will also add a sex CG and nude version of the max affection CG. It also adds full voice acting for the sex scene and for dialogue outside of sex. My favorite is to hear Elle say “Nobody has ever seen my body like this, uncovered, I hope you like it”. She’s so cute!
The NSFW patch also changes miscellaneous things throughout the game like achievement names. For example, when you have sex with Nutaku, the SFW version shows nothing and gives the achievement “back door”. However, the NSFW version names the achievement “grab the lube”, and Nutaku’s dialogue is a lot more explicit. And yes, there really is a girl named Nutaku.
Remember to turn on the uncensored mode feature in the options menu, or the characters will remain family friendly and clothed! Be warned however, the game never shows a single penis or insertion . See the images in this review for an idea of what to expect.
GAMEPLAY
Crush Crush is an idle clicker title. You only make so much money per second, so progress is limited. This game is designed for you to check in on it at the start and end of every real-world day. Even after two months of play, I have not 100% completed the game.
The central focus of the game is how you allocate your “time blocks”. Working fast food pays very little, but it only costs 2 time blocks. Working as an astronaut costs 20 time blocks, but it pays crazy high!
When you start the game, you will be unable to perform high paying jobs. This is because you lack the skills and the time blocks. You earn blocks by romancing girls. You gain skills by allocating time blocks to hobbies. So instead of working at two jobs, you would work at one job and read a book on the side.
The game can be learned and mastered in under ten minutes, so the reason players come back is because of the girls. They spend money buying gifts or taking girls on dates in order to raise their affection. This will unlock new dialogue and reward you with diamonds. Naturally, diamonds are used to purchase special outfits or boost your productivity.
Once a girl is maxed out, you’ll be able to dress her in different outfits and watch her sex scene. Completely romancing previous girls is necessary to unlock new ones. Log in daily to earn free diamonds, new artworks, job skips, and more!
GRAPHICS
The entire game is drawn by an artist named Panda, the head of Sad Panda Studios. This keeps the art style relatively consistent even as character designs get increasingly unusual. Whether it’s simple Ayano or latex suit Eva (Rei Ayanamii), each girl is drawn with individuality while still fitting into the same world.
There are over 45 girls total. Each has multiple unique CG images to emphasize the growth of your relationship. The first CG covers how you met, while the last CG shows your sexual lovemaking with her. There are at least 180 unique CGs with the main girls, and another 120 for phone flings. Plus, the game offers a wide range of pin-ups earned through daily logins during events. Seriously, this game easily passes +300 unique art assets and counting!
Small animations are played when earning money and affection points from jobs and women. Many of the CGs in this game feature alternate versions only available with the NSFW patch. Every girl has at least six possible outfits. An outfit for Christmas, the beach, the school, a wedding, and two lewd versions of the character. All clothing options feature unique standing art for all scenarios including when you poke them at max affection. Some girls have outfits beyond the default six, that are usually tied to DLC or progression.
As a matter of personal opinion, I found the nude CGs to be lacking. It’s clear the artist prefers cute outfits instead. The nipples all look identical, the shading on legs is poor, and it’s clear the artist hasn’t fully mastered perspective. Like when Bonnibel’s legs look short and stumpy or when Iro’s legs look like rectangles. I honestly prefer the lingerie and bikinis, over the mixed quality of the lewd artworks.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
The voice acting is phenomenal. Over 45 unique voices! Sure there are hiccups like Ayano’s mic quality and Quill sounding a bit bass-boosted, but those are small flaws! Hearing Cassie’s sassy and casual way of speak is adorable. Bonnibel’s southern accent really grew on me! Iro’s tomboyish “girl next door” vibe was wonderfully endearing. Claudia being all gruff and distant perfectly reminded me of Cloud from Final Fantasy! And Eva sounds exactly like Rei Ayanami at the start of Evangelion, totally emotionless! Just hearing a voice, I can instantly tell who’s speaking. Best girl is Elle and her soft feminine, almost whisper, of a voice. Every time I hear it, my heart melts with love for her.
The sound effects in this game are limited, obviously, because it’s an idle clicker! You get a notification for level ups and stuff like that, but the game keeps the main focus on the dialogue and voice acting from various girls. You can even flirt with them and hear their voice while browsing the jobs menu! Less is more! We don’t need intrusive sound effects! The voice acting is perfection and I’m glad it remained the focus.
MUSIC
There is one track for the entire game. It’s called “Sugar Kiss” and can be found on YouTube here. Remember, this is an idle clicker game, so there really isn’t a need for a variety of tracks. This is the one song that you hear, and you know, you’re playing Crush Crush. It’s iconic! And since the music is reliably the same, you can feel comfortable lowering the volume to hear the voices better. There are no audio cues or jump scares, just a simple background track so you can click or fap away!
HENTAI
The writing of the game intentionally makes the player’s gender androgynous. Naturally, there are no penis or dildo insertions in any of the scenes. Even when you finally get to a sex scene all you’re told is you’re “going in”, which could mean anything! And when a girl says “you’re my first”, what does that even mean? It’s up to player interpretation.
There is no deflowering blood or other hentai tropes, it’s all up to your imagination. Even the sexual dialogue is only a line or two long. And the lack of variation CGs or animations means there is no feeling of movement behind the scenes. It’s largely up to your imagination!
CONCLUDING WORDS
Crush Crush features over 45 unique waifus, over 300 unique CGs, and over 140,000 lines of fully voice acted dialogue! If there’s a girl in this review that caught your eye, I highly recommend you go get her! Because the game is free to play on any device and any language! Try Crush Crush today!
