STORY
Theo is a high school boy who swears to finally get rid of his virginity during a science fair. After discovering that his crush has started dating his best friend, he is devastated. Feeling rejected like a little bitch, he walks off the science fair to explore the city alone. He encounters a strange old woman. When he’s just about to leave, the woman gets attacked by a robber.
Theo dies heroically while trying to protect the woman. Afterwards, instead of having his consciousness disappear into the endless night, he wakes up in a hotel room! Now, no matter what he does, his day continues to repeat, just like in the movie Groundhog’s Day. Theo soon realizes that he can abuse his newfound immortality in his pursuit for pussy!
The time travel twist adds intrigue to an otherwise bland story. It’s clear that the plot is merely a setup for Theo’s sex adventures, even though it could have been used to explore many interesting scenarios and themes.
The events and character interactions felt natural. The fun dialogue and chemistry between characters made me laugh. For example, Erika loses her bitchy personality once she’s interested in Theo. She goes from acting like a total bitch into a shy virgin!
The downside to the time travel schtick becomes clear once you’ve gone through the same scenes four times. The content becomes tiresome, especially when you need to make the correct choices to progress. It’s a lot of trial and error, and you only have one save file.
Some events make no sense. Despite the game presenting you with multiple branching options, the choice is an illusion. When Theo talks to the cute receptionist Julia, you can flirt with her, or be polite. Even if you choose to have Theo be polite, Julia’s follow up dialogue doesn’t match up. The disconnected nature of some dialogue and events is jarring.
GRAPHICS
The game has a western, cartoon art style. Character designs are lovely, though the anatomy in CGs could use some work. There’s a nice variety of girls to choose from. However, characters only have one outfit. Students in their uniforms, adults in their workwear. It’s not a big deal, and I enjoyed when the CGs reflected how each character gets fucked in their clothes, if they were wearing any.
The game utilizes a pleasing palette of pastel colours. It fits the art style extremely well. It does give the game a child-like vibe, but I personally liked it. It’s charming and gives the game a sense of adventure. The backgrounds are simple, with enough detail that it doesn’t overshadow or pull down the character art. Overall, I liked the game’s visual aesthetic.
SOUND EFFECTS AND VOICE ACTING (SFX)
The game has no voice acting, but characters do make sounds.
You hear breathy giggles, moans, and other bodily noises. Other sound effects include alarms, doors pushed open, and a decent variety of other effects. The overall audio enhances the immersion.
MUSIC
The opening theme of the game sets the tone for the events that follow. It’s a short non-offensive song that loops quickly. It utilizes sound effects that reminded me of television series from the nineties. It’s cheesy and kind of annoying.
Once you start the game, you’re treated to a much better song. This piece has a sultry, romantic tone. It’s comprised of electric drums, synthesized sounds, and the croon of a horn instrument. You get to relish a sensual atmosphere that fits the erotic content. The music fills the silence, but it is forgettable.
GAMEPLAY
The Last of my Virgin Life is a visual novel. Clicking the textbox advances the story. Functionality features are limited. There isn’t an option to change the sizing of the text, or to adjust the volumes for music and sound. You can skip the text until you reach a choice.
During the game, you’ll make important choices that affect the outcome of the story. Unfortunately, you will only have one save file. If you want to reach another ending, you have to write down your choices and choose differently. In order to successfully seduce a girl, you need to pick the correct choices. It requires some trial and error, but most answers for each girl are pretty obvious.
HENTAI
The first hentai scene doesn’t take long to reach. Theo enters his friend’s house, only to discover him fucking his crush, Vanessa. There are no descriptions for the scene. You hear looped sound effects and pitched moans. There’s little dialogue, and Theo’s jealous thoughts. I was disappointed by the lack of descriptions, but the erotic audio made my dick hard.
Another scene I loved was Theo fucking the witch. Once she’s revealed herself, she gives Theo the option to screw her senseless. They fucked in a dingy alley way, and she rode him until he came inside her.
Though the descriptions in some sex scenes are minimal, and scenes themselves aren’t very long, the slight animations and boner-popping moans more than make up for it. There isn’t much variation to sex positions, as you’re usually treated to standard doggystyle and cowgirl. There are two scenes that feature a threesome.
WEBSITE EXPERIENCE
When playing on mobile, your phone’s internet connection can hinder the experience. On my Samsung S7 Edge, the game would often get stuck loading. I fixed the issue by refreshing the page three times. Technical issues are also prevalent on the PC, while load times are shorter. A quick page refresh (press F5) fixes most problems.
The game has a ridiculous number of loading screens. It would be fine if load times are snappy. Unfortunately, the loading speed varies between different playthroughs. The annoyance of waiting two minutes between scenes adds up. Also, if you clear your browser’s cache, your save file and CG gallery disappear. Playing a visual novel in the browser is convenient, but there are issues.
CONCLUDING WORDS
The Last Day of my Virgin Life has a decent story with many sexy moments. However, the experience is not flawless on both PC and mobile. The long loading times and other recurring problems should be addressed promptly.
