STORY

As the name implies, this story is told entirely via text messages. Your wife is now a hotwife, and is open to go out and flirt with other men. She may send you photos, and you may send her encouragement, but the ball is entirely in her court. As the cuck husband, all you can do is wait at home for that fateful text when she announces her return.

The entire game can be completed in a single hour with a couple of endings depending on your choices. If you encourage your wife with love, she will return to you with loyalty. But if you encourage her to become a slut, you’ll get the dreaded text message where she shows a positive pregnancy test from another man’s cum! There are other endings in between those two extremes, but you get the point. This game can be a dream or a nightmare depending on your choices and predispositions.

Rather than a massive overall plot, this game takes a more ‘day by day’ approach. Every night your wife will have opportunities to be adventurous and disloyal, but your words will make a huge difference on whether or not she pulls the trigger. The best part is, the story is told entirely through dialogue. Meaning, you as the reader, are more deeply invested in the relationship that is forming or breaking on-screen.

GAMEPLAY

This game was created in the Renpy Visual Novel engine, but has a unique UI to mimic its theme of plot progression via texting. When texting, you will be given 2-3 options that will each effect her stats. Your wife has three stats: love, corruption, and slutiness. The difference being that corruption leans towards infidelity while slutiness is more related to sexual openness.

There are a limited number of choices in the same, so choose wisely! Trying to balance all three stats is a fool’s errand. Its better to decide early on, what type of story you’d like to unfold. Of course, if you want to really immerse yourself, you can read each chat response and pick whichever fits the way you’d actually behave. That’s the beauty of this game, its easy to immerse yourself.

The one downside to this game is that it all takes place via text messages. Meaning that there are no exploration mechanics. Although each photo is given a background and the dialogue indicates the circumstances of the setting, it still doesn’t feel as dynamic as a world built outside of texting.

GRAPHICS

Although the plot is conveyed via texting, there are still plenty of photos in the form of fullscreen CG images to admire along the way. These CGs range from sex acts, to simply photos of your wife in a new location like a bar or a park. Most photos have variations depending on outfits and makeup. In particular, you’ll notice a fully corrupted wife wears more makeup than a loyal wife.

The clothing in this game is gorgeous! While the corruption route involves sheer clothing and tons of cleavage, the loyal route has your wife looks a bit more reserved and dignified. The clothing will also often match the setting and backgrounds. If your wife is in a public restroom, she’s got her clothes looking their best, but when she’s in bed with another man, you might get a nip slip or more!

This game shines its best in the beginning stages. Towards the end, the art quality gets a bit less consistent. In particular, the creampie scene looks like she has glass in her pussy, and some scenes make her tits look bigger than her entire head!

Another flaw is how the wife’s facial expressions don’t really change all that much, as if the developer is uncertain of their abilities. During sex for example, she has the same doe eyed stare she does in most other scenes. Instead of being overcome with lust, she often looks like she’s high or unaware. The lack of pushing boundaries visually, keeps this game from being anything more than average.

VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)

Dirty Texts has no voice acting. The only sound effect in the game is text message notification noises. Because sex acts occur off-screen, there is no need for sex sound effects.

MUSIC

There is no background music in this game.

HENTAI

Because the entirety of the game occurs over a single week, there are very few sexual encounters. In terms of actual infidelity, it only happens two or three times throughout the game. First, when your wife gives a blowjob to another man. Second, when your wife fucks a dark-skin fellow at the bar. And third, in the bad ending, she divorces you and gets knocked up by a black coworker. The rest of the game is teasing and outfits and preparations for cheating.

There is no missionary or cowgirl, sex is always from the back. And because the flow of the story is to follow your wife day by day, there isn’t much time for erotic dialogue. Rather, the husband just says “wowee!” and the game progresses to the next day.

It goes without saying that there are no animations in this game. And although one ending involves divorce, the other 3 endings all seem generic and too similar to one another. Whether your wife has max love or max corruption, she still has pretty much the same dialogue. This game could have benefited by having more choices and a greater distinction between the endings. Maybe in one ending, she’s pregnant by another man but stays with her husband. Anything that made the endings more distinct would have made this game a true classic.

CONCLUDING WORDS

For a game all about texting, this game does a lot to deliver on the experience of being a cuckold. The graphics are solid, the writing is believable, and the character stat system had a lot of potential. But with the game being so short, there really isn’t anything to enjoy here except if you have a cuckolding fetish.
