STORY

Working as a butler in a mansion of cute women? That sounds too good to be true, and it is! He wakes up when one of them is sucking his dick, then the older sister starts riding him, and if you step in the wrong room they’ll knock you out and use your body as they please!

There are 9 succubi in total, though two are side characters and twins, so the game art only shows off seven of them. Each character falls into a simple trope like Momo the quiet businesswoman, Mika the blonde schoolgirl, and Satomi the mature older sister.

A lot of this game is pretty silly. Like when Lilith writes in her diary, “I’m having a fine day again”. That’s it?! She’s such a simple-minded girl. Not like Levi, who keeps shooting you full of tranquilizers and playing with your dick.

There is no overall story. Nor are there battles and puzzles. The succubi never feel dangerous, so I was actually surprised when I died on the fifth day. The game said my body got “shriveled up”, but the dialogue and character sprite never reflected that, so I had no idea.

This game feels more like a kinetic novel filled with sex scenes than a survival adventure title. In all honesty, the writing failed to make me care about anyone.

GAMEPLAY

Surrounded By Succubi was created in RPG Maker MV. Press Alt to skip text. Press A to auto-advance dialogue. There is no backlog or ability to hide text boxes.

The game explains absolutely nothing to you. I kept waiting for a tutorial that never came. You’re just expected to walk around talking to people and interact with things blindly in order to progress. Frankly, the developer half-assed the game design.

A strange bug in this game is that files are noted as “missing” even if they’re playing in the background or displayed on the screen! Resetting the game resolves this bug, because nothing was missing to begin with. Still, this is the official release of the game, and should have been a bug-free build.

GRAPHICS

There are 10 unique animations, all of which repeat with different dialogue. At first, these animations are incredibly impressive for how smooth and realistic they are. But over time, the constant repeat of these images makes the game an absolute chore to play.

The developer clearly chose RPG Maker MV due to how easy it is to port animations into that engine. Besides that function, the author did absolutely nothing with the MV engine, continuing to use the default text boxes and other features. Altogether, the game feels like a shell to show off some cool animations.

Floor textures don’t fit perfectly and you can see the lines between each box. Although the character sprites are custom, that’s not neccessarily a good thing. Lilith’s sprite has enormous tits rather than a torso, and characters like Momo are super simplistic with their black clothing being shown as solid black even though it’s a suit.

It seems the developer was hoping for the animations to carry the experience. And while they are impressive, they can’t save a game so poorly crafted.

VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)

Surrounded By Succubi has full voice acting for all nine girls. Their lustful banter and moans during sex scenes are absolutely glorious. Just hearing them slurp cock and cum is blissful. The problem is, they don’t have much of a script to work with. Nine succubi is a big number, so it’s no surprise that none of them have any character building moments throughout the story.

Sound effects are practically nonexistent, which gives the centerstage to the voice actors. Where other games would have a pillow-like sound for groping breasts, this game has the girl literally say “pafu pafu” as you touch her. That was super cute, but also a bit random. I wish we got some dialogue to emphasize the danger that the succubi present to the player.

MUSIC

There are 22 tracks in total. All are stock RPG Maker assets commonly used throughout the industry. The main menu track loops every 10 seconds, the main mansion track is the classic interior track used in every RPG Maker game since 2006, the rest of the music is the same quality. Digitally synthesized strings and violins loop mechanically into predictable melodies.

HENTAI

The author brags about having 28 scenes in total, but there’s only 10 unique animations! In reality, the visuals repeat far too often for my comfort. Yes, the animations and voice acting are good, but without variety, the game just drags on!

The scene I was most looking forward to was the succubus twins who are friends with Satomi. Unfortunately, their scenes didn’t work properly since the game said I was missing an audio file that was playing fine in the background!

This game has titjobs, blowjobs, cowgirl, and more! These bitches want your sperm as soon as possible! And if you get far enough, you can be the one dominant over the succubi, rather than a submissive!

However, the lack of foreplay and buildup to meaningful sexual encounters leaves this game as the equivalent to a hentai video, rather than a deep and immersive experience.

Surrounded By Succubi is an adult game carried by its voice acting and animations. The writing is basic, the gameplay is nonexistent, and the music is all copy-pasted tracks from an internet stock library. It’s the sexy moans and the realistic movement that make this game worth it.
