Funbag Fantasy is awesome, let’s get that out of the way first. It’s got a detailed story, an enjoyable cast of characters, most of whom you get to fuck. There’s piles of gorgeous, faptastic artwork I had the pleasure of screenshotting during my playthrough, enough porn to satisfy the most hardcore hentai lovers. The artstyle is easy on the eyes, neatly colored up to the shadows and droplets of excretitions. The story is a fluid read, despite its word count, and doesn’t feel like a wall of text erected in your face. All the assets are great stuff, but in my opinion the best part about Funbag Fantasy is the stellar voice acting. Every character is voiced, every scene has dialog, including the sex scenes! The whole package is excellently put together.

Funbag Fantasy follows the story of Lute Hende, a graduate from Knight Academy. He was the bottom of his class, a pitiable character. His home country has recently made a transition from a plutocracy to a monarchy, with graduates of the Knight Academy pushed into serving a bureaucratic establishment. Graduates have historically been thrust into tasks befitting of their battle prowess. Except Lute Hende, who is essentially just a random dude. He is equipped with rhetorical quips and one liners, doesn’t have strong opinions, and just goes with the flow of things. Nobody respects him or really cares whether he lives or he dies. Lute, at the Prime Minister’s bidding, goes from location to location, solves problems no one expected him to, and almost by happenstance advances the plot.

Mundane character archetypes aside, the overarching story of Funbag Fantasy is what really drew me in. Rebellions against the Knighted Bureaucracy are popping up. While this is happening, Lute is sent to a place named Boan, the backwoods of the kingdom – the superiors wanted as little to do with him as possible. Boan is a nondescript town with some asshole in charge. While there, he is introduced to one of the main characters: the busty succubus Shamsiel. Her rack is truly the stuff of legends, and she plays an integral role in the story as both your cocksleeve and assistant.

Besides Shamsiel, who is without qualms about going into the kitchen to make a boob sandwich for you meat rod, Boan is home to a woman of even greater cup-size, called Roxanne. While she may be a minor character, all the ladies you fuck impact the story one way or another. Every new location you go to hosts a new love interest whose ripe waiting womb you familiarize yourself with.

You foil a rebellion in Boan and return to the capital as a hero. Roxanne gets left behind, but Shamsiel joins you, serving you more tittyfucks to kill her boredom. It’s at this point you’re finally given a real choice in the story. Boan served as a starting area with a linear plot, but make no mistake, this is a visual novel, you do get to choose how the story unfolds.

This first choice has you either become a general set to thwart another rebellion, or you can enter a spooky demon forest. Both choices have you set up to fail;  the higher ups hate your guts, and getting rid of you is on their agenda. Regardless of your decision, everything is set on rails from that point forward.

The main disappointment I had with Funbag Fantasy was the lack of choices. I only played one route, and from what I experienced in the solid 7 hours of playing, I only encountered a single choice that affected the story. At only a few points did I get to decide how to fuck someone, or where I wanted to cum. I felt like I was simply playing a game, that there was no player input. This is fine for games advertised as kinetic novels, but when you say you’re a visual novel, that comes with different expectations. It’s not a deal breaker, because the content was great, but it felt odd.

The user interface was pleasant to look at, with a text menu that was transparent and text scrolling at a reasonable pace. You’re never presented with long paragraphs to read, each mouse click prompts on average two sentences worth of dialogue or description. It’s soothing for the eyes. The menu is intuitive; during a play, you bring your mouse near the bottom of the screen to bring up our options.

Characters in Funbag Fantasy added to the entertainment factor. Each character has their own speaking (typing) style. Shamsiel, your succubus cum dumpster, applies a liberal use of the tilde (~) and musical notes. Gladys, a strong fighter with a fierce intellect, speaks in a direct manner. Emeralia, the adviser to the Prime Minister, speaks robotically, without emotion, until a phat cum-oozing dick penetrates her whore mouth, which is when the bitch becomes a horny slut with no filter between her cunt and her yapper.

Voice acting of Funbag Fantasy is superb. I cannot speak Japanese, but I know their performances were excellent, simply based on the emotion behind their words, and the pacing of their speech. The succubus is seductive, the princess is timid, and the generals act gruff. Your rival, Motaire, sounds like a fucking prick. Even plain dialogue sounds natural. No one tries to speak in a sexy manner unless it’s called for.

The sex scenes are fucking glorious. These bitches cum as soon as you even look at their nipple, and they all sound like it. I was seriously impressed with these performances. Their tones matched with what I was reading, even a filthy gaijun like me could tell they were on point. Their orgasmic motherly moans were sizzling hot and natural-sounding. This game is great fap fodder for the audio alone.

The art in Funbag Fantasy is quality. The men are regal and have ornate, intricate armor that makes them look powerful. The girls wear armor that, of course, leaves their breasts half-exposed. Gladys’ outfit leaves her underboob fully exposed. As a huge fan of sensual underboob visuals, I rate Gladys ten out of ten. Each character has a variety of facial expressions during dialogue, and reflect what they’re saying. None of them suffer from the most commonly found problem in VN: tiny mouth. It’s easy to just redraw different expressions and get proportions off, but Funbag Fantasy had none of that shit.

Lines are hard and shadows are dark. Everything feels like its living in a 3D space, nothing comes off as flat. There aren’t a lot of textures on display in this visual novel. The backgrounds are good works of art, they have more depth than the CG sex scenes. Those have a good variety of textures. Sex scenes less so, but all there is to show is skin, so it’s easily forgivable. Include that with the excellent shading and application of shadows, and it’s easy to overlook. If the lines were a bit softer, I’d have a problem.

The sex CG is great as well. Titties are big and voluptuous, and I was expecting to have them all run together. Boy, was I wrong. Each set of breasts you get to fondle and fuck are notably different in some way. The MILF has big tits that sag under their weight, and are constantly leaking breast milk. Isis, a fellow knight, has large nipples that are inverted. The succubus you fuck has the most perfect tits out of all of them, not too large that sit perfectly on her body. Each time Lute grabs a titty, for one reason or another, it looks realistic. Flesh pushes out between his fingers, nipples grow longer to spurt milk. When you fuck them, their bodies look natural, and their faces reflect their ecstasy nicely.

There are only two complaints I have about this game. One is about the art, the other about the story. What pissed me off about the art, was how lute’s dick is drawn. It is woefully, inexcusably bland. There’s no real coloration like we see with tits in the game, the meat rod is an abnormally smooth tube of flesh. This is an issue I hear Japanese visual novels having, that because penises are always censored, the artists don’t bother putting any details on them. To most people, a bland penis is maybe acceptable. I like detail in my penises, not just because I’m a flaming bisexual, but because it just bothered me for the entire duration of my playthrough. There is no color variation on his dick, it’s one straight color. The head never becomes engorged with blood, there’s no purple or pink in any of the art.

The other big issue I had was a minor plot detail with major ramifications. For reasons unfathomable to a rational mind, there is a certain very important character who brings a gun to the sword fight. A fucking gun, in a medieval setting of blademasters, and sorcerers.

Music was the weakest part of Funbag Fantasy by far, though my statement this sits as a testament to how fun this game really is. The music is well orchestrated, with each piece setting the tone in a specific way. It also effectively fits the theme of “medieval fantasy” that is set out. There is no noticeable loop point, a sign that someone actually gave a shit. Nothing is worse than hearing that one double note before the track restarts. After a couple hours the songs got a little irritating, but the music is not omnipresent. Several scenes lack sound. Instead, either dialogue or simple sound effects take the center stage in those scenes. And speaking of sound effects, scenes that feature walking have footsteps playing in the background. In the market, you hear townspeople speaking indistinctly, in a buzz. Open fields have grass rustling, and in forests the leaves flutter in the wind. Sword clashes sound real, though “punch” and “slash” sounds were kind of corny.

The sex sound effects are mediocre, but standard for the industry. I’ve never heard good sex sound effects, so waffle can hardly be chastised for it. Thrusting into boobs and cunts sounds like a dildo fucking a bowl of jello, and when Lute gropes a nice rack it sounds like someone rubbing a balloon. A single smooch sounds fine, but anytime someone slips their tongue in a fleshy crevice, it’s someone eating a bowl of noodles. The jello noises aren’t unbearable, they’re many times better than mediocre hentai OVAs I’ve been plowing lately.

As you’ve undoubtedly figured out, Funbag Fantasy is all about tits. Every single woman you run into carries a massive back-breaking rack, and your goal is to fuck ’em. In summary, story was fucking great. I got invested in the world and the boobacious characters. The characters are believable and have their own motivations, even if it’s just to get dick. Voice acting is superb, both outside of sex scenes and during them. Art looks fantastic, the only small detail I didn’t like was Lute’s dick. The music sounded nice. It could get repetitive and irritating, but name a game that wouldn’t do the same. The sound effects weren’t great, but they weren’t terrible either.

The pink-haired tavern maid who gives quests to the hunters was perhaps the most memorable character in the game. If you get to know her, she’ll tell you the story of how her family was killed by demons. The maid girl only survived because she was a half-breed, and no-one suspected her of having magic.

The storytelling is exciting and makes you thirsty to keep learning more about the world and the characters. By the end of the game you’ll have enough knowledge to decide between the two endings.

Niplheim’s Hunter has a prequel that hasn’t been translated into English yet. The prequel covers Azel’s time working as a sex slave working towards her freedom. According to the Nutaku store page, this story will be available as DLC in the near future.

GAMEPLAY

Niplheim’s Hunter was created with the Wolf RPG Editor. You move with the arrow keys and press spacebar to interact with objects and people. The window can be expanded to whatever resolution you like. Press F12 to return to title. Press Q to hide the dialogue box. Press W to see the conversation log. Press C to automatically advance dialogue for hands-free play. Press CTRL to skip dialogue.

The game is a classic dungeon crawler title. Defeat enemies to level up, and gain new items. Find gold deposits in the walls. Return to the Hunter’s Guild to spend your gold and craft new gear.

There are 6 areas to explore with 30 enemy types and 35 quests. Quests involve either hunting animals, or gathering items. Enemy encounters are not random, and can be skipped by simply avoiding them. Completing every quest and story line in the game will take six hours on average.

Azel relies on her magical ‘lust brand’ to gain new abilities. These abilities cost erotic points (EP). You gain EP from sexual activities, and lose them by using abilities, and sleeping. If you have too many erotic points, Azel loses her mind and initiates sex with whatever monsters or people she was fighting mid-combat.

There are four weapon types in the game, each with its benefits and drawbacks. For example, great swords increase your luck which leads to more critical hits. Dual blades increase your dexterity, which increases your chance of landing a combo. I recommend you try different weapons to find a playstyle you like.

After some quests, you’ll have enough materials to craft new weapons and armors at the blacksmith in the Hunter’s Guild. He’s a personal friend of Azel, and can be fucked!

Some versions of the game censor the porn. The Nutaku version includes the erotic content.

GRAPHICS

The game includes 34 base CGs and over 600 images overall. There are 15 different outfits, which Azel wears during sex. The art style is the Japanese anime style. Azel is the main character and she’s absolutely gorgeous. From her smiley happy face to her expression of ahegao during sex – each artwork is hand crafted to look absolutely gorgeous and pleasing to the eye.

The game map is enormous. You have everything from snowy mountain regions to rocky caverns. Each of the six regions has multiple ‘rooms’ and walkways to explore. One-handed gamers can harvest resources and defeat enemies while admiring the landscape.

The battle system view has a lovely style and lots of personality. Visually, it’s so beautiful to look at, you couldn’t tell it’s done by the Wolf RPG Editor unless I told you. A lot of scripting went into this product.

Equipped armor is reflected on the heroine’s sprite. Her pose, walking graphic, and how she looks in battle changes when she switches armors. Armors are considered separate from costumes. You can have the defensive power of dragon armor, while having the appearance of a sexy bunny-girl. This distinction between costumes and armor provides a level of customizability that few games offer.

Sex scenes are hand-crafted to perfection. A visual face-camera allows players to see Azel’s face, even during a doggystyle scene! The game also has fluid animations with well-timed sound effects.

SOUND EFFECTS AND VOICE ACTING (SFX)

Niplheim’s Hunter has partial voice acting for Azel and the two other female characters. The voice acting only occurs during sex scenes. The limited acting is mostly limited to moans of pleasure. The Japanese actresses moan and beg for cock, but they’re very silent outside of the bedroom!

Even though you can only hear them in sex scenes, each girl has a lot of personality. Just by hearing the voice you’ll be able to recognize who is speaking, even if you don’t understand Japanese.

The sound effects are unique and fit perfectly in all situations. In combat, hearing the slash of a sword is incredibly satisfying. During the sex scenes, the pounding of cock into Azel’s little pussy is almost hypnotic. The sound effects don’t get repetitive like real sex.

MUSIC

The soundtrack has some 20 unique songs. The music is reminiscent of super Nintendo soundtracks. There’s a heavy use of cymbals and flutes creating an adventurous tune. Electric piano is used sparingly but masterfully. No instrument overtakes another, it all fits into a perfect melody that evokes whichever mood fits the scene. The mood switches from pensive sadness to lustful desire. The full spectrum of emotions is covered perfectly. While the music works within context, the songs aren’t good enough to listen to outside of the game.

Niplheim’s Hunter has over 30 sex scenes and 15 erotic battle animations.

When Azel is too horny to fight, you get a sexy animation mid-battle. An image of Azel appears on screen as she’s pounded full of monster cock. It’s lower quality than full-blown sex scenes, but still very sexy!

Sex scenes outside of the battles have lots of love and care put into them. Multiple slides are used to simulate movement. Some scenes have better animation than others. SOUND EFFECTS AND VOICE ACTING (SFX)

Mei is the only character with any voice acting. The actress portraying her makes a great performance. She is shy and nervous when she speaks, but a total slut when it’s time to please her man. Her slow corruption is wonderful to watch. Mei’s cries are cute and make you want to protect her, while her dialogue makes you want to take advantage of her.

Sound effects are limited. You hear doors opening, people running, bushes rustling, pussy walls squelching, thrusting, water pouring and a vibrator buzzing. The audio clips are expertly done and increase immersion.

MUSIC

The music quality in Bullied Bride is great. There is a large library of songs that employ original instruments for the most part. Most frequently heard instruments are the guitar, piano and saxophone. There is at least one song that uses synthetic instruments like the keyboard.

Music is upbeat and lively and will remind you of slice of life anime shows from the early 2000s. The genre shifts between songs to reflect the action taking place. Tracks do not feel repetitive or distracting. Most of the songs have a fun funky vibe.

GAMEPLAY

Bullied Bride is a visual novel game.

Clicking the textbox advances the story. Functionality features are normal to other visual novel games with a ‘skip’ and ‘auto’ button for smooth play. You can replay any chapter or sex scene from the Gallery menu. CGs are individually available to view. Every so often the game presents you with choices. These choice have minimal impact on the plot. Choices exist only to unlock new sex scenarios. There are 15 intimate scenes between you and your bullied bride to unlock. There are enough save slots for easy backtracking of choices.

GRAPHICS

Bullied Bride has excellent graphics and artwork. Because Mei is the only girl, she gets all the attention. She sports a pair of massive tits too big for normal humans but the perfect size for slutty anime girls. The character sprite has loads of facial expressions. Bodily proportions change in-between images sometimes, adding more sex appeal. There is also an assortment of costumes for Mei to wear. She wears a schoolgirl uniform, a naked apron, and more, though she spends most of the game naked on her knees.

Mei’s sprite is stunning. Bright vibrant colour schemes compliment the light edges. Lines are thin while shadows look realistic. Hentai artwork focuses fully on Mei. The camera shows off her horny body in a variety of deliciously lewd positions. In some pieces, her ass is practically against the screen.

Background images are stylish and feature a wide variety of detail. The outdoor settings are bright and inviting while the interiors feel warm and comforting. Some of the interior settings feel bland due to the cliché Japanese apartment location. There is a good balance between indoor and outdoor settings, as well as night and day times.

HENTAI

Bullied Bride features great sex. The wonderfully excellent artwork, combined with stimulating vocal work and sexy writing make each scene pleasurable.

STORY

There is no overall story. The tomboy Rerika roams from one area to another, defeating monsters and completing guild missions. The game ends when the monster epidemic is halted and there are no more contracts.

Long ago, all the animals began to mutate and become monsters. While humanity was once the top species of the planet, we’re now at the bottom of the food chain. It’s the job of the creature hunter guild to kill these rapidly breeding creatures!

You learn bits and pieces of lore through NPCs and character biographies. Speaking to characters multiple times will give varied dialogue. The story hints at the existence of multiple forts and creature hunter academies. Although we never see them, you get the vibe that humanity has united and organized itself to fight the monster threat.

There are five hunter rookies to play as, led by the fort captain Daria. None of these girls have complex personalities, and they rarely have dialogue together. Each of the rookies has unique weapons and abilities.

Every mission in the game amounts to hunting down monsters. Sometimes you thin the herd, other times you defeat the leading breeder. Completing missions does not affect dialogue. You get called a “rookie”, even after you’re defeating dragons with ease.

GAMEPLAY

Creature Hunter was created with the RPG Maker engine. Move with the arrow keys. Press Alt-Enter to change screen resolution. Press Q to flee battle. Press Shift to run. Press W to skip dialogue.

The game is primarily a grindy dungeon-crawler. From forests to mountains, you defeat local monsters which drop crafting ingredients used for better equipment. Your goal is to unlock new monsters and sex scenes.

There are so many game mechanics, it will likely be intimidating for new players. There’s an item hotbar, a customizable party system, a crafting system, specialized equipment, and so much more. Just start with the first level, it’s a tutorial that explains the basics. After that, the player home has bookshelves full of tutorial documents if you need them.

The base is central to the entire experience. It has a weapon shop, item shop, and the player home. Achievements, tutorials, and sex stats can only be viewed from the base. There are also general statistics like the distance you’ve traveled in-game.

You cannot save game in dungeons, and can only change the game difficulty at your base. This means that the player actually has to commit to their mission. Buying the right items and preparing correctly is important for success.

This game has over 20 hours of content spread out across 22 missions. You will face almost 50 different types of monsters. From clothing damage to the monster encyclopedia, there are many features you’ll learn about as you play. This game is complex and polished.

From the moment you start the game, you feel the polish. The title screen is beautifully designed with professional visuals and music. There are about 65 scenes in total, but only a handful of them are fullscreen CGs. Most scenes are a combination of art assets like a character’s face alongside a cut-in image of their pussy being fucked. This gets repetitive over time, but it’s the best way to give all 50 monsters their own unique scenes.

There are 38 songs in total, half of which are stock assets from the RPG Maker library. The other half are unique to this developer, recycled from previous titles.

All tracks are digitally synthesized like “Market Square Loop”, which has digitized horns and drums. The stock assets are lame, but when the unique music comes out, it always sounds fantastic! Some of these songs are going into my personal music player, because they’re so damn good! The use of real instruments would have made them better though!

HENTAI

There are 65 scenes in total, made up of thousands of art assets. There are over 30 lewd status effects. These include being drugged or placed into a futa-state. Each status effect has a matching artwork.

Every sex action has a matching piece of artwork. You see The sex, the creampie, the impregnation, the pregnancy, and even the birth! All of this can happen in a single battle, and then the monster egg will hatch, becoming a new enemy for you to fight! No other game has done this before! I absolutely adore the detail!

The game is primarily a “Woman Simulator”. You need money to pay rent, buy feminine hygiene products, and feed yourself on a day to day basis. Outside of your finances, everything is up to player choice.

There are no battles or power-ups. Instead you raise a stat called “Charm” by living a more comfortable life. Buy jewelry, add furniture to your house, and take a hot shower in order to increase your charm. Doing so will increase your earnings at work. Character customization is detailed and fun to use. After purchasing jewelry or nail polish, players can paint their nails and put on cute accesories. The plot is constructed such that the jokes are just the foamy crusting. Without the humor, this would be a very dramatic cake.

While the story is light-hearted, the tone switches at the drop of a hat. People die when monsters attack. Conspirators get imprisoned in dark cells, sometimes executed. The pin that keeps the mood from sliding into darkness is Lute Hende’s cheerful attitude. He treats every problem as a joke, to which he is the punchline.

GAMEPLAY

Funbag Fantasy: Sideboob Story is a visual novel. Click the screen to “turn the pages”. Save your progress into hundreds of save slots, for easy backtracking. The plot is rather linear, and the game offers few branching choices.

The game has great visual novel functionality. Buttons for auto-play, skipping, saving and loading the game, are located below the screen. When you hover over the bottom of your screen, the control panel pops up. You can easily remove the textbox to oogle at the CGs by clicking the “X” in the textbox. You can also access the graphics and audio options easily. This is great user interface design.

GRAPHICS

The artwork is the best I’ve seen in an eroge since Starless: Nymphomaniac’s Paradise. The art is exquisitely detailed, with beautiful vibrant coloring making the experience into a spectacle for the eyes. The women have gorgeous hourglass bodies and massive tits, they wear revealing dresses that maximize their bodily beauty. Meanwhile, the men are burly hunks of muscle, or slender bitch boys with latent homosexual tendencies. The faggy villains are petty non-muscular shits who scheme to soil Lute’s achievements.

The sprites have numerous facial expressions, but only one pose. I loved the women’s horny faces during flirty portions of the dialog. Shamsiel had the cutest faces, like the “puffy cheek face” when she was angry. The sprites aren’t completely static, and will occasionally move on the screen, fly off, fall off, etc. During fight scenes, characters rush in your face, accompanied by a nice slashing effect.

The background art is so skillfully painted, the pieces look photographic. I was most impressed by the interior design of the palace in Fronce. Every room in that palace looks incredible from the decor to the coloring.

In the CG artwork, the artists’ gloves come off. The lines are thin, clean, and amplified by soft shadows that give a sense of shape to the women’s wholesome bodies. Nothing looks out of place, and you can rest your eyes on the magnificent buxom beauties of Eurodia.

SOUND EFFECTS AND VOICE ACTING (SFX)

The Japanese female voice acting is beyond incredible in this game. The characters exhibit sexy female personalities each with their own appeal. Even the actresses I found annoying, like Shamsiel’s actress who over-played the little sister tropes, were quite sexy when she simulated blowjobs. Gladys’ voice was my favorite, because she was the most direct with her emotional expression. Whenever the actress shouted, she sounded like a charismatic leader with a passionate heart.

Roxanne played hentai mother tropes with her mature womanly soft-spoken voice oozing an unveiled desire for serial pregnancies. I would’ve liked more scenes featuring her. Meanwhile, Luceria and Isis were cute, but they barely got action after their first scenes. The story focused on the new girls, Mariella and Nellis.

The male characters have great voice actors too. While the girls are all young fertile high-status females, the men had much more variety in ages. Other sound effects in the game include the creaking of doors, the clangs of plates and utensils, all so professionally done, you feel immersed into the world. I cannot praise the audio enough, this is the standard all eroge developers must strive for.

MUSIC

The opening theme is like listening to a farting match. It sets the tone for the meme war you’re in for. The song creates a royal atmosphere with a hint of comedy. Even though the instruments are played by professionals, and there’s no mistakes I can spot, it feels like the players don’t give a fuck how their music feels. The trickery is subtle. In the context of another game, the mood would be ruined by this kind of drivel. The style of the music is in sync with the game’s intended atmosphere.

The musical tracks featured in the sex scenes are perfect for the time period. I cannot name these ancient instruments, but you’ll know them instantly when you hear them. There’s no drums or electric guitars here. These instruments were made from animal guts, strings, wood. The atmosphere is perfect for coaxing the living organisms inside of your testicles to swim and dance.

The soundtrack has only a couple serious songs. They usually play during monster encounters. I particularly remember the dark, foreboding song for the grim reaper encounter. It featured a male choir singing a long low note, that felt simultaneously religious and demonic.
