The story is of Mochizuki Tomoya, a boy with one dream: To work at a visual novel studio and make what he loves most. He has no skills like writing or drawing that would let him achieve his dream, but he finds a local studio, Flower, looking desperately for employees. He gets hired straight away but quickly learns that Flower is going under. Their debut game was a disastrous flop, as none in the team knows how to make a game sexy. He takes it upon himself to teach the four heroines about sex, help them make a better game and save the company!
No one at Flower, excluding Tomoya’s young boss Sonono Nene, seems to like Tomoya. Graphic artist Kousaka Iori is cold and passive, whereas writer Fujiwara Momoka and illustrator Himeno Kisara don’t even bother hiding their hatred. Tomoya spends his first weeks at Flower getting verbally and physically assaulted by his co-workers, much to his chagrin.
In “Eroge!”, you have a selection system. Before the sex scenes, you select which character you want to have it with. If you consistently choose the same girl, you eventually go down their route and won’t have another choice to make until near the end of the game.
Besides the sex scenes, the game is nearly identical with each playthrough. The only changes are to a few pieces of dialogue, but since everything between the sex is just idle office talk, it’s not really a problem. The game is about hardcore scenarios, and that’s where it shines. The ero-portions are hot as hell; their art is simple but very lewd, and the fetishes are varied and cover most anything you could desire. The only bad thing is that some of the more extreme fetishes, like scat, aren’t much advertised. Each route has a scat scene. Don’t be surprised when you fuck your co-worker in the bathroom to relieve her constipation, or when she drizzles your fermented cum on her hamburger.
CONCLUDING WORDS
If you like cute girls being sexed silly in increasingly kinky ways, this game is amazing. There’s a total of seven cuties and even one ladyboy to explore! “Eroge!” is a high budget game and this shows in everything about it: Length, art, music, and voice acting. It might surprise you, but often a sizable portion of game budgets go to enlisting big-name Japanese voice actresses who enjoy celebrity status and cult followings in Japan. Eroge! doesn’t have big players, but this only makes the actresses hungrier… for fame!
