STORY
The game cycle is super simple. You do three quests, then something lewd happens. You do three more, and another lewd event occurs. Repeat until the game is completed.
Along the way you’ll find ingredients to make special potions for your mom. The bristle medicine gives her armpit hair. The breast medicine makes her tits huge. The brown medicine darkens her skin. Changes in the appearance of your mother indicate progress in the story.
At the climax of the game, your mother realizes you’ve used a dirty spellbook on her to increase her libido. She’ll either have to wait a long time to recover, or fuck five men in a row to lift the curse. The spells on her body make her unable to get pregnant, but after fucking the five men, she’ll be back to normal. Will you let your mother fuck guy number six?
GAMEPLAY
HuNTR was created in RPG Maker MV. Use arrow keys for movement. Press โZโ to talk to NPCs and activate items. The โXโ button cancels dialog and menu choices. Press Z to slash. Press A for a magic ball. Press D to strafe.
The game lacks level-ups and free roam mechanics. Most dungeons are narrow corridors. As an action RPG, the focus is on skill rather than experience points. Although you can buy items and equipment, the game can easily be completed without them.
Although there is a quest log, its never necessary. You can customize your name too, but the game is never focused on you.
GRAPHICS
The art is Japanese anime style with artistic quirks well known to Oroboy. In fact, the mother in this game looks nearly identical to the mother in past titles.
There are 10 unique CGs, but nearly 500 artworks in total. This is because variation images are used to convey movement and player choices. All sex scenes in the game have variations depending on which medicines you use. Even though there’s only one missionary scene, it has variations depending on her skin color and breast size.
The artworks in this game are beautiful. It doesn’t seem like he has a team of people to polish every artwork, so the focus is on originality of the content. Like the x-ray cut-in of sperm reaching an egg! And the toned but slim arms of your adventurer mother. Some find armpit hair to be disgusting, but I consider it a good feature for people who like it. After all, you can toggle it off in the recollection room at any time.
Although the game is under two hours long, the fantastic world design had me excited to explore it all. The town has a pub where you get quests, the weapon shop has a dressing room for lewd scenes, and the item shop has a bookshelf hideaway for your mother to be groped in. Every inch of the world has something to offer, and it made me wish the game was longer.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
HuNTR has no voice acting. Sound effects are almost entirely standard RPG Maker assets. You’ll hear a blast of magic, a windy slice, itโs all very cookie cutter and familiar to players who’ve dabbled in RPG Maker titles.
MUSIC
There are 27 music tracks in total. All of them are stock assets from the RPG Maker library. Who could forget “Town2” and “bgm7”, they’re totally classics! The game is thankfully rather short, so you won’t have to listen to them beyond the point of no return.
HENTAI
There are 18 erotic scenes in total, often reusing artworks with different dialogue.
Many of these scenes are short and predictable. When she grows armpit hair, she has a man shave it off. When her boobs grow, she has a man grope them. When you give her an aphrodisiac, she masturbates.
The best scenes come in the final segment of the game when you wake up in the middle of the night to find your mother left the house.
