STORY
This game has no overall story. All you do throughout the game is treat Amu-chan well in order to build your relationship. If it is high enough, sheโll fall in love with you. The game makes it impossible to mistreat her so there is no chance she’ll leave you.
Near the beginning of the game, you get to know each other with questions like “Are you dating anyone?”. Near the end of the game, the dialogue shifts to showcase your relationship with lines like “Stay with me forever”. ย The game lacks many features from other Kano Kobo titles. For instance, there are no personality archetypes, making all play-throughs identical. This kills replay value.
GAMEPLAY
Amu-chan Developer was created in the Unity game engine. You only need a mouse to play. There is no backlog or rewind function. All gameplay functions are listed on the side of the screen. Sleep, work, items, shopping, and so on. This game doesnโt have a personality stats system, leaving only a basic achievement list to pursue.
The playerโs job is revamped so that auto-progression happens in real time now. Rapidly click the mouse to deal damage to computer bugs. Virus bugs will automatically lose health every few seconds. You are only paid when virus bugs are eradicated. You can invest your money to increase your damage-per-click or a better auto-damage powers. This all sounds interesting, but I maxed my stats on day 2 of work.
BUGS AND GLITCHES
The game removes countless features from its predecessor, but not the constant game crashes. Other changes include a cap on earnings, a smaller item variety, the loss of realism features like dick size and living expenses. While the cleaner visuals have a nice charm, the gameplay should have improved.
GRAPHICS
The house shows Amu-chan drawn in an animated polygonal sprite format, while dialogue and sex scenes use a classic Japanese anime style.
