STORY

MUSIC
The music in Chii-chan Kaihatsu Nikki is good shit. There is a variety of cutesy tracks that is normal for typical slice of life anime and darker songs that can be heard in more disturbing titles. Music is cleverly placed and fits the actions on screen to a ‘t’. Musical changeovers are noticeable and indicate a clear change in atmosphere.
The anime features real instruments like the violin and piano, which are perfect for setting almost any kind of mood. The creepiest piece of music occurs when Chii’s Uncle takes off her top and begins fondling her. The track has such a uniquely disturbing tone to it that you can’t help but vibe with it.
ANIMATION
The anime features some great looking visuals. The colors are bright and vibrant, even during scenes that are darker in nature. Lighting and shadows are used expertly throughout the story. The camera work is excellent with plenty of lewd shots of a terrified Chisato having sex with Uncle. Scenes don’t feel stale or repetitive.
Chisato’s character design is as cute as her mannerisms. Her purple hair and big eyes are so welcoming. Her breasts are large and signify her transmission into womanhood. In some places, Chisato’s pupils change into hearts to show how she embraces her change into a cock-loving slut. Vaginal blood, tears and saliva are also shown.
During sex the characters’ movements look and feel organic with one or two shots making it seem like Chisato’s body is made up of jello. Bodily proportions stay consistent in-between scenes while certain things like the amount of saliva in a character’s mouth is exaggerated.
