Oppaidius Desert Island, a porn game developed by SbargiSoft. Released June 4, 2021. Download on Steam for $9.00. For PC Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Partial voice acting. Uncensored genitals.
You’ve been stranded on a desert island with the gorgeous singer Angela! Explore the island, interact with Angela, and reunite with your friends from Oppadius Tropical Cruise!
STORY
This game is the third in the Oppaidius Series. In the first game, you enjoyed summer staring at a big-breasted lady. In the second game, you go on a Tropical Cruise with tons of ecchi scenes focused on the famous singer Angela and the local bartender Rika. At the end of “Tropical Cruise“, a shipwreck occurs. This cliffhanger ending is resolved in this game, Oppaidius Desert Island.
The developer seems to assume you’ve already played “Tropical Cruise“. This is obvious with the constant flashbacks to that game, accompanied with casual interactions between the characters. Angela, Jimmy, and Rika are all treated as established characters. Although “Desert Island” can be played as a stand-alone experience, it will be far more satisfying if you play Tropical Cruise first.
While the previous games focused on ecchi content, this is the first title in the series featuring fully animated sex scenes for the female characters. Although the game is split into various chapters, there is no plot or story arc. One chapter is simply walking into a tunnel and having sex with a random magical lady. Organizing the game as “chapters” was meant to disguise how aimless the writing really was.
As a comedy title, the writing lacks tension. After the first ten minutes, you’ll know if the game is right for you. Personally, I found it to drag heavily and try too hard to be funny. Players can customize the name of the protagonist.
The protagonist is constantly thinking to himself and having random autistic fantasies. These get repetitive fast and bring the flow of the story to a complete halt. Since the protagonist is so weird and socially retarded, he’s very hard to root for. Of course, why would you when this game has basically no goal whatsoever?
Breaking the fourth wall is not funny when you do it every few minutes. It’s even less funny when its done for no reason. For example, at one point the writer makes fun of the players saying “Enough with the jokes! Can’t we get some progression here!”. He’s right! That’s exactly what I was thinking! Too bad he ignored this, and continued with the random monologues!
Some of the jokes were funny, but some felt just lazy. Like a reference to Bear Grills, but renamed as Boar Grulls. The writer acts like making a reference is automatically funny but it’s not. Just saying “Don’t drink urine”, felt like a waste. I was left waiting and hoping for something actually creative with the comedy.
The vast majority of this game plays like a kinetic novel full of meaningless choices. Although there are multiple endings, most are just bad endings. And without a story arc or meaningful choices leading you down different paths, the experience feels half-made. Altogether the writing left me sorely disappointed.
GAMEPLAY
Oppaidius Desert Island was created in the Renpy game engine. Click to advance dialogue. The backlog is in the pause menu. The developer removed most standard renpy features including text skip and custom display speed.
Occasional choices are displayed at the bottom of the screen. So you might click to see more dialogue and accidentally make a choice. And since there’s no rewind function you’ll have to load game. Altogether the experience is clunky and does not improve on the standard Renpy settings.
GRAPHICS
The art is drawn in a cartoonish western style. However, a wide variety of art styles are combined throughout the entire experience.
Pixel art backgrounds with limited color palettes are used to imitate 32 bit gaming. Mini character sprites are placed next to dialogue like you’d expect in an RPG Maker title. The standing artworks feature basic animation for blinking and hair blowing in the wind. During sex scenes, all actions are fully animated for fluid movement and realism.
The jiggle physics in this game are a bit absurd. Like in the pause menu, if you toggle boob level 100, giant tits squirt milk all over your screen! The title doesn’t lie, this game is really focused on the oppai fetish.
The level of animation in this game is often inconsistent. The opening cinematic is filled with simple animations with tons of movement and action on-screen. But when you get into the actual game, some scenes use the same CG for damn near 15 minutes! One scene in particular is an image of Angela sleeping on the beach. That remains the only thing you see for over 10 minutes straight! Even if you’re a speed reader, the artist clearly could not keep up with the endless, constant, tedious, monologues from the protagonist. In other words, the writing screwed the visuals, not the other way around.
The fully animated sex scenes are gorgeous, but only feature one position per scene. While fans would say it’s because the creator is an indie dev relying on Patreon and Kickstarter, I’d point to the many other Patreon games on this site with a wider array of animations. As it stands now, you’ll watch a girl bounce on your lap repeatedly and the scene ends! I wish there were some different perspectives or positions.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
Oppaidius Desert Island has partial voice acting. The voices only play during sex scenes and often don’t fit the visuals. Like the animated cowgirl sex scene with Demonia the demon. The moaning sounded like some urban white girl, rather than an actual horned demon femdom goddess. Demonia literally forces herself onto your character! She should sound aggressive! The voice acting is hot, but doesn’t fit the visuals well.
Sound effects are used throughout the game in a really cartoonish way. Like the loud and noticeable noises when Jimmy scratches his ass, or the high speed action of the volleyball scene being complimented with its own sound design. While it’s good, it operates as secondary to the visuals and animations.
MUSIC
The soundtrack to this game was surprisingly enjoyable, but sabotaged by the writing. The author doesn’t create scenes filled with emotion or anger, so the music plays in the background without having a chance to connect with the player’s experience. Sex scenes often have muted and quiet music that let you focus on the voice acting. Although the opening music was fast-paced and epic, you only hear it once and then you’re back to standing on a beach doing nothing! I wish this musician had more opportunities to shine.
HENTAI
After blue-balling the players with ecchi content for the past two games, this game finally features vaginal sex. However, it also features an unavoidable male-on-futa scene, which is not nice for people who want to avoid bisexual content.
The first sex scene is with Demonia and is sabotaged by the writing afterwards. Demonia forces herself onto the protagonist, so he decides to cry and wallow in self-pity about how he didn’t enjoy it. Later, of course, he enjoys sex with Angela, but that’s besides the point. The sex starts randomly, ends randomly, and is surrounded by dialogue that doesn’t make it very hot. Yes, the animations are well done, but there’s only one animation per scene. The focus is almost completely on big breasts, so if you’re an ass-man, you may feel left out. Thankfully the redhead Rika is featured in an ass-focused scene, with animated vaginal and anal.
CONCLUDING WORDS
Oppaidius Desert Island has tons of animations, unique artworks, and beautiful ladies. But the gameplay is missing standard visual novel features, the writing is completely random, and the voice acting is hit or miss. I’d recommend this game only if you enjoyed the first two and want to complete the series. Download Oppaidius Desert Island on Steam.

This review is garbage, unjustified garbage. The game is a comedy, of course there isn’t tension. It feels like the writer for this review completely missed the mark of the game as a whole. *Slow clap* Do something else as a job, clearly your writing lacks tension, or intelligence.
Rastafoo has written reviews of some 400 eroge at this point. Just saying.
