STORY

Aisha was on her way home after completing a mission for her guild when suddenly, she was caught by the guards of Count Rugoem! Now a prisoner in Fortress Lugohm, can this petite young lady escape the prison?

The story changes depending on the difficulty chosen at the beginning. If you play normal mode, you’ll escape the fort with many riches! If you play hard mode, the story is expanded beyond a simple prison break!

You track down the lord of the fort and discover how he became so powerful. The man can use teleportation magic and has been prostituting the maids in the basement! Only on hard mode, can you actually take him down!

When the plot kicks into gear, you’re soon finding interesting events happening all around you!

The game takes 2-3 hours to complete. You can choose the order of missions, to an extent. For example, you can run out and kill the guard captains right away, or do other side quests to level up your character. The story changes dramatically based on your decisions. For example, if you fail to kill a guard captain, he might fuck you, or toss you back into prison. Weeks pass until you have a chance at escaping again – assuming you don’t get executed!

There are four endings to the game. Escaping the fort is the normal ending. The good ending has Aisha escape the fort and become rich from the treasures she stole. She also tells the adventurer’s guild about the forced prostitution in the fort, and gets the women freed. The story is fairly complex and well written with elements of mystery and magic.

GAMEPLAY

This game was created with RPG Maker, but has significant scripting that makes it a unique experience. You move with the arrow keys and press spacebar to interact with objects and people. Press CTRL to skip dialogue.

The game gives out multiple hints to keep players on the right track. You can look at your “action pad”, your map, and speak to key characters. You’re always given a clear idea of what to do next.

In the beginning you get a small tutorial that teaches you about the “line of sight” of enemies. You need to sneak behind the guards if you want to kill them. But this is not always a good idea. Other guards will eventually notice that their friends are going missing, and even stronger guards will take their place!

When it comes to approaching enemies, you have two choices. You can rely on stealth and avoid battles to preserve your healing items – and your virginity! You can also seduce the soldiers with your feminine wiles!

The gameplay is quite complex, which raises the skill ceiling and the enjoyment you derive from it. But it’s also very flawed. For example, one of my missions was to spy on a cult of mages who were rocking instant death spells. The only way to protect myself was to buy a magic charm. But I had killed all the guards, and there were no respawns to farm, so I couldn’t make any money. I couldn’t buy the charm and the game was nearly unbeatable!

You may notice in your first playthrough that many items are not usable. It’s the trade-off for playing Normal Mode. Normal Mode gives you unlimited lockpicks, but you miss the full story and cannot use certain weapons.

Despite the aforementioned problems, the gameplay is lots of fun.

GRAPHICS

The art style is Japanese anime. Shadows and body proportions remain consistent between scenes. The developer employed a single artist for the entire game, leading to a consistent good-looking style.

The game takes place in a fortress. There are four outfits for your girl to wear: An erotic dancer outfit, a french maid uniform, and more. Multiple sex scenes allow you to choose the outfit that you wear.

From the dark dungeons to the front gate of the fort, Aisha is able to travel the area with ease. The exploration mechanics work well with the costume system – you are unable to squeeze through vents or explore tight areas in certain outfits.

All of these features come together to create a world that’s fun for the player to explore.

SOUND EFFECTS AND VOICE ACTING (SFX)

Escape from Fortress Lugohm has no voice acting.

The sound effects show the significant amount of work that went into this game. You have the standard metallic noises for opening a jail cell, but the developers went the extra step even when they could have ignored things. For example, a sex scene in a bath has multiple different sound effects for water. This extra detail makes players more immersed in the world.

MUSIC

The game is a prison break simulation. The tone is suspenseful. While there are less than ten songs on the soundtrack, each of them is used exceptionally well and fits the tone of the game. Few of them are original compositions. The music for wandering through the prison cells differs from the dungeon exploration music. The prison song makes you feel weary of getting caught. Meanwhile the dungeon has music that uses low piano notes to convey danger.

Piano is one of few real instruments here. Most of the music is pre-made assets and is digital in nature.

HENTAI

The game has 25 base CGs, most of which have many variations to accompany them. The recollection room must be filled manually, you do not get to see all the scenes by simply beating the game.

Many scenes are available right from the start. Just start seducing the guards! Aisha can choose exactly how she will behave – which will change the dialogue and imagery of the sex scenes. For example, act shy and you’ll be pushed into a blowjob scene. Act confident to ride the guy’s dick!

The tutorial says it best! If you lose in battle you’ll be raped, so why not take control of the situation and seduce them for sex on your own terms? Better to give blowjobs to the guards than get gangbanged in a prison cell!

There’s an invisible counter for how much sex you’ve had. As that number rises, the dialogue in game changes. The men will complain that you’re terrible at giving blowjobs, but get more experience and soon they’ll be cumming in your mouth before they know what’s going on! The sex scenes are fantastic, and they affect the ending you’ll receive!

CONCLUDING WORDS

Escape from Fortress Lugohm is a great entry into the genre of stealth hentai games. The combat mechanics and puzzles are well made, the game has replay value with its two difficulty settings. Best of all, the character returns in another Hentai game entitled “Magician of the Olecta Desert”- read my review of the sequel.
