STORY
You are an amateur chef who dreams of owning his own restaurant one day. One night as you return home, you save a little girl from being run over by a truck. The selfless act of bravery gets your ass killed. You wake up in a fantasy world where the king rewards you for your sacrifice by giving you a restaurant to manage.
On route to the opening, you come across two girls, Primina and Cherela, who are slaves. They’re about to be sold off to some rich bastard, but you intervene and buy the girls yourself. You put the girls to work in your restaurant. The hentai plot writes itself from there.
The rest of the game consists of getting to know Primina and Cherela and managing the restaurant. The bulk of the game’s story is just setting up sexual encounters with the girls. They often get jealous of each other and compete for your dick.
The anime babes have stereotypical one-note personalities. Primina is sweet and innocent while Cherela is a tsundere who can’t just spit it out that she wants your cum inside her.
There are no grammatical errors that I could find. With 2-10 hours’ worth of content, there’s more than enough sex.
SOUND EFFECTS AND VOICE ACTING (SFX)
The voice acting in Catgirl and Doggirl Cafe is good. The actresses behind Cherela and Primina sound innocent during the day, and slutty when it’s fucktime. Cherela’s actress comes across as the more experienced one, and more entertaining of the two.
The sound library is robust. You hear cutting, food being fried, car crashes, whips, stomach growling, kissing and tongues slobbering against one another, and more. The audio clips are professionally done and spotless of mistakes.
MUSIC
The awesome soundtrack contains a varied selection of songs. You hear such instruments as flutes, pianos, guitar and string plucking. Some songs even use hand-beat drums. Sex music generally consists of saxophone and piano.
Most of the music is upbeat and lively in the style of slice of life anime. There is a good balance between fill-and-frolic songs and dark, foreboding songs. Musical changeovers are very noticeable, but don’t distract during play.
GAMEPLAY
Catgirl and Doggirl Cafe is a visual novel game.
Clicking the textbox advances the story. Functionality features are normal to other visual novel games with a ‘skip’ and ‘auto’ button for smooth play. H-Scenes and story chapters are available for replay from the Gallery menu. You can also view CG artwork. Every so often the game presents you with choices. These choices have minimal impact on the plot.
GRAPHICS
Catgirl and Doggirl Café has rich artwork. Only Cherela and Primina’s characters have sprites. Both have uniquely cute, but distinct designs such as differing hair colour and style, breast sizes, animal features and personalities. The sprites have limited poses but a large variety of facial expressions ranging from angry to moe.
The game sprites also have a variety of clothing to choose from, including slave, waitress, nude, and some other cosplay costumes. The waitress outfits the two girls wear look cute and have a flattering design.
The game uses thin lines for the edges. Artwork looks hand-drawn with subtle shadow placement. Artwork features bright and vibrant colours. Background artwork is rich in detail and compliments character sprites.
HENTAI
The game features 13 sex scenes. The game relies on several classical hentai tropes such as jealousy among the two girls. After you have sex with Primina, Cherela immediately needs to sample your cum as well. She lies on her back and begs for your cock, but not because she likes you or anything. After you’ve stripped both girls of that pesky virginity, they take turns having sex with you. Be prepared to fuck them in your room, their rooms, on the beach, and in the café. You also get the idea to eat cream off Cherela’s half-dressed body in the café.
During the game you also get to have sex with both girls in a threesome. Their skills in pleasuring you only grow stronger and stronger the more you fuck. The game has deliciously sexy artwork. Each sex scene ends in a thick creampie. The sex scenes are just the right length with great running commentary from all parties and a good description of what is happening onscreen.
