STORY

This was unnecessary and awkward since it’s much more fun to get into the mindset of one character and stay there. On the positive side, this was a super unique way to convey the plot. There’s a lesbian character who constantly seems to want sex with you. It gets annoying, but is unavoidable because the game lacks a central focus. Rather than focusing on cuckoldry or humiliation, this game is generally about corruption. And apparently, being gay qualifies as corruption.

GAMEPLAY
Katie’s Corruption is a visual novel made with Renpy. Click the screen to progress the story. The game prompts you with branching dialog choices at key moments in the story. Press CTRL to skip dialogue. Press โHโ to hide the dialogue box.
You need to load a saved game file frequently, or use a walkthrough to view sex scenes. This is because scenes are unlocked by gathering corruption points. If you miss some, you better load game and try again! Getting these points requires viewing all scenes, regardless whether you like them or not. There’s lesbian kissing, prostitution, and so much more. You are required to view these events to gain points, which makes for a linear and predictable experience.
The entirety of gameplay is limited to choices, many of which have exciting outcomes! For example, will you let your stepdad have sex with you? If so, he’ll show up often asking for more!

GRAPHICS
The 3D character models of the game are gorgeous, but tend to use muted colors.
Katie is the cutest early game when her brown hair shines in the sunlight. Over time she starts using more makeup and dyes her hair, looking more like a barbie doll than a person. If this was intentional, it’s a great way to show her progressing corruption.
There is no animation. Instead, most sex scenes show two images cycling between each other to simulate movement. This was better than nothing, but still pretty basic. I wish at least one scene had some fluid animation.
Unlike other titles where character stills are scaled to focus on faces, this game shows the characters from head to toe. This allows for sex scenes to happen easily without changing perspective, with the downside of less focus on facial expressions. This is made worse by the lack of variation in character poses. While other games change facial expressions throughout the conversation, this game has only a single character image. Katie will always have her arms crossed, and it gets annoyingly repetitive.
I love when the visuals reflect your choices. Like when Katie is asked about birth control! If you tell the guy you have no birth control, he’ll wear a condom. But if you tell him you’re on the pill, he’ll fuck Katie’s pussy bareback!
