The story behind this comic is a tale for the ages. Originally a commission for a client, who contracted us through hentaicommissions.com, he wanted a Christmas gift for his girlfriend. But the artist undersold her art at a steep discount. A month later, we realized the project was severely underfunded. We missed the deadline by months! The characters were based on the client’s girlfriend, so we had to make a version we can display publicly. Only problem was, I forgot to ask for “private commission extra”, so we had no budget to alter the faces and hair. I had to pay to finish this out of pocket. And the art style being this complex and time-consuming to execute, it wasn’t cheap!
It’s a small miracle we managed to get this done, with the artist having health problems, family troubles, and barely enough time to draw. While this comic is perhaps the biggest trainwreck we’ve ever produced, it’s absolutely gorgeous and well worth the toll we paid to the ferryman!
Not every commission we do goes perfectly, but we strive to finish all of them in an acceptable timeframe and on budget. Even when everything goes to hell, we try our best to finish what we start, all obligations fulfilled.
