Snowed In, a hentai visual novel developed and published by Rascal Devworks. Released on January 25, 2019. Download on Nutaku.net for $1.99. For PC Windows. No voice acting. Censored genitals.

Military officer Sigma gets tasked with supervising the final exam of a promising cadet named Linde. The problem is, the two are polar opposite personalities. One girl is half cyborg, the other all natural. One is jaded; the other is fascinated by life. It’s a recipe for a total absolute disaster, but diversity is strength, right?

STORY

Sergeant Sigma is assigned a mission: She must infiltrate a top secret evil organization, and plant electronic bugs in the building. The good guys will use the information to deal with the evildoers. But Sigma’s partner on this mission is an inexperienced soldier called Linde.

Linde and Sigma travel to a snowy region where it’s cold enough to freeze your pussy lips together. After some reverse interrogation and some steamy lesbian sex in a cave, Sigma discovers that Linda is a double agent. Her objective is to gain Sigma’s trust, sabotage the mission and kill Sigma when everything is over. Sigma beats Linde in a fight and forces her to become a ‘triple’ agent by turning her into a lesbian slut.

They make their way to the enemy’s headquarters and plant the bugs. They throw some explosions in the mix, and rush to make their escape. Things don’t go as planned, and shit hits the fan.

The story showcases an average grasp of the English language. Dialogue is standard and feels boring at times. Descriptions during scenes are lackluster. The game is short despite boasting four different endings. The plot is paper thin but the concept behind the story is exciting.  The story includes cyber enhancements, which are geat inspiration for hentai content, but the story never explores the possibilities posed by them. I can easily picture female characters with flat chests upgrading to DDs and fucking a guy’s brains out, but the story is more focused on boring military espionage.

CHARACTERS

Snowed In is focused on its main characters to its detriment. Linde and Sigma are practically the only characters. The only interaction you see is between them. It gets difficult to feel any tension, or danger when we never learn the names of any enemy agents. Despite some good world building, Snowed In fails to capitalize. We don’t learn any important facts, like why the characters need to go behind enemy lines, or what the evil organization’s goals are.

Sigma barely has a personality. She has a sexy design with massive tits covered in fabric skin suits but we never see her naked or with her legs spread. The player learns a little bit about her past but it amounts to teardrops in an ocean.

Linde is more interesting. She has a cute design with a mischievous personality. She has a backstory. But we never learn why, or how she became a double agent, or what her goals are beyond killing Sigma.

GAMEPLAY

Snowed In is a visual novel. You click the screen to “turn the pages”. You are presented with decisions which determine the course of the story. There are multiple endings to unlock, and a lot of choices to make. The game has basic visual novel functionality. There are enough save slots to help you backtrack your choices.

The game has a fantastic menu screen that comes alive when you click any button. There is a gallery to view artwork.

GRAPHICS

Artwork in Snowed In is vibrant and colourful. The background art is especially beautiful with deep colours and well placed shadows. There isn’t a lot of background art work. You visit futuristic military bases, a frozen wilderness, and dark caves.

Sigma has porn star proportions but refuses to get naked. Linde is cute with a great outfit that looks even better when she ditches her shirt and leaves her exposed flesh boulders on open display. Both characters are sexy, but bland.

Neither character has a large variety of poses or facial expressions. Bodily proportions stay consistent. Characters wear the same clothes throughout the game, but Linde is partially naked during h-scenes.

There is a very small collection of artwork, boasting only 8 pictures in the gallery.

SOUND EFFECTS AND VOICE ACTING (SFX)

There is no voice acting, but Japanese voice actors lent their voices to short giggles, sighs, gasps, and moans. The audio is sexy, but very limited in quantity.

There’s a good number of sounds for things like bombs exploding, fires burning, electrical noises, heart beats and other rustling. There are no sound effects during sex scenes. There are several abstract sounds for things like Game Over, invalid answers, loading and saving games and choice confirmation. The audio is professionally recorded, no cracks or pops.

MUSIC

The music is a mixed bag. There isn’t a long track list available, but the variety is good. There’s a good balance between soothing songs, and fast, upbeat tracks. Songs fit the tone of the scenes and fits the action taking place on-screen. Music does not change pace or build towards climax.

Most of the music was played with physical instruments. Electric guitars play during action-orientated scenes, while pianos and wind instruments play during intimate moments. The electric guitar songs are the most fun to listen to. Unfortunately they play very rarely.

There are cyber-style tracks too. They employ synthetic instruments that conveys the feeling of a futuristic high-tech setting. The tracks are not memorable and feel copy-pasted from similar games.

HENTAI

Snowed In will blue-ball you repeatedly. Sex scenes are embarrassingly short and unoriginal. Every scene between Linde and Sigma starts exactly the same with teasing and ends with Sigma grabbing Linde’s clit until she cums.

Due to the game’s shortness, and the small number of characters, hentai scenes don’t feel organic. There’s no selection process, no competition for the pussy. The content is safe ecchi bullshit.

The writing is not very sexy. There’s little dirty talk, no attempt to describe the action on screen.

CONCLUDING WORDS

There are several brilliant ideas in this game that deserved to be explored. The content is full of wasted potential, scenes that could’ve been amazingly sexy with more effort put into them. Even at the bargain price of $2.00, it’s not a good experience. There are loads of better and sexier games out there that deserve to drain your balls and your wallet.

Get this incredibly boring hentai game today. Download Snowed In.
