STORY
This game picks up where Detective Masochist ended. In fact, only a few days have passed since the previous game’s events.
In the first game, your girlfriend Satomi wore a magic “Red Ring of Sadism” and became a femdom obsessed futanari! She grew a dick and raped you with it. Even after you destroyed the Red Ring, she still has a huge dick!

The story is not as good as the first game’s. The first installment offered two different endings, while this game only has one. This means that the player’s choices don’t matter. Also, the writer breaks the fourth wall during the prologue, and some dialogue borders on doing the same. I was left feeling like the writer wasn’t confident enough to take his story seriously.
Plot elements are almost identical. You have three hotties to bang: Your girlfriend, a sultry and busty milf, and a petite loudmouthed young girl. All three women dominate you, and distract you from finding out the truth of the red ring.

GAMEPLAY
Detective Masochist 2 is a visual novel. Click the screen to advance the story.
The game has numerous features standard to this genre. Press M for pause menu. Press S to quicksave. Press L to quick-load. Press A to automatically progress dialogue. Press V for voice replay. Press CTRL to fast-forward dialogue.
Press F1 to open the game manual. This lists all the game controls as well as character bios. Be warned that the manual may contain minor spoilers to the story and game events. The game has around 4-6 hours of content, depending on reading speed.
There are a handful of meaningless choices throughout the game. Because there is only one ending, you don’t need to stress about them. The save function allows players to write notes on each save slot.
GRAPHICS
The art is classic Japanese anime style. Body proportions and heights are referenced in game, reflected by the visuals.
Rie Yoshinodani is the dignified glasses wearing milf who runs the local medical clinic. Not only is she busty and beautiful, but she also wears high heels! This is reflected in dialogue and in the visuals, as she is taller than your character.
The art is well drawn with a variety of detailed scenes. With around 550 images in total. The vast majority of these images are variations on base CGs, of which there are around 30. Most of these variations are almost exactly identical. Many scenes could have used a bit more variety, but keep you stuck on a still image for ten minutes. The total images might be high, but the actual variety is very low.
Numerous art assets are recycled from the previous game. If you’ve played the previous game, only the sex scenes will be different. Backgrounds, character outfits, and more are all repeats from the previous title.
VOICE ACTING AND SOUND EFFECTS (SFX)
All characters have voice actors behind them that fit their personalities.
Because this game is so similar to its predecessor, everything comes off as very predictable. One girl has a sultry voice like she’s older and more mature, while another has the high-pitched squeal of a young babe. The acting is somewhat exaggerated. The new actresses are fine enough, but the actress for Satomi doesn’t seem to have her heart in it.
Sound effects are used when necessary. They help create a more believable world. You hear things like the guy cumming, and clothes being rustled. The audio design is fine enough, but nothing particularly interesting.
MUSIC
The soundtrack includes four songs, recycled from the previous game. They’re nice at first, but you’ll want to mute them soon.
I’m not sure if this was intentional by the developers, but any attempt to skip dialogue will reset the music track so it starts from the beginning. If you skip even a tiny bit of dialogue, the song replays itself from the start.
Piano, guitar, and bass are used to create a relaxing urban tune. The experience is enjoyable, but there is no variety! With only four tracks to choose from, one of which is exclusive to sex scenes, things get repetitive quickly. The main menu theme made me genuinely want to quit the game, just to avoid hearing it ever again.
HENTAI
Detective Masochist 2 features over 20+ porn scenes. Each scene has a single base image and multiple variations.
While the previous game featured movement and changes in position, this game only has a single base CG per scene. The variations are hardly noticeable, and it feels like you’re just staring at a still image. Zoom and panning functions are used to change the focus of a scene, but that does not make up for the lack of variety.
The first game focused on tease and denial. This one focuses more on hardcore fetishes. Pegging and futanari content is common. At one point, your character is even shrunken down and shoved into the pussy of the witch girl. There’s face-sitting scenes, and scenes where the girl stomps on cock with high heels. The problem is, it seemed like the artist traced the images from the first game and redrew them with new characters. New players will enjoy it, while old players will hold the skip button.
CONCLUDING WORDS
Detective Masochist 2 is a great porn game for fans of futanari and strap-on fucking. The graphics are stellar, and the voice acting is well done. The soundtrack is mediocre, but passable. Lack of meaningful choices is a bummer, but the overall fapping experience is great for fetishists.
