STORY

Erica lives in a not-so peaceful village under constant attack by scary bug monsters. She spends her days fighting and protecting her fellow villagers, but she can’t shake this feeling like she doesn’t fit in.

Azul is a bratty boy who always sounds like he is whining about something. One day while out hunting with his father, Azul and company are attacked. Erica arrives to save them but not before Azul’s father is killed. The group return to the village where Erica laments over her failure while Azul grieves. Erica is encouraged to leave the village to become part of a guild of fighters but lets Azul fuck her first, because life is short and shit hits the fan.

The story is abysmal. Azul gets pussy that he doesn’t deserve. He is an annoying character that brings down the quality of the story. Erica is given a little exploration but exists mainly to have her cherry popped by Azul. The episode moves too fast for the events to sink in. You don’t care about Azul’s father because you don’t know him and don’t like Azul. The story doesn’t know if it wants to be a fantasy adventure with some romance or a hentai with no plot.

SOUND EFFECTS AND VOICE ACTING (SFX)

The voice acting is forgettable. Erica’s actress puts on a good performance with passable delivery during her self-reflection scenes, but she sounds like it’s her first time doing a raunchy voice over. Azul’s actor is even worse. He is completely believable as an insufferable whiny brat but that is nothing to write home about.

The episode is layered with sound effects that bring the world to life. Some sounds you’ll hear include fabric rustling, footsteps, monster growls, action noises like flicks, twists and other abstract battle noises. The sex sounds are limited and sound like they are from a generic library somewhere on the internet.

MUSIC

At the beginning you feel like you’re watching a family friendly anime with a beautiful opening theme song. It has a wonderful beat and flow and does a good job of setting you up for disappointment.

Music in the actual episode is very limited. Original and synthetic instruments are combined to create several forgettable tracks. Songs are usually overshadowed by action and dialogue. Battle music sounds good with fast, catchy melodies that make your heart race. When Azul and Erica have sex, the music changes to a soft lullaby that feels bland.

ANIMATION

Kohakuiro no Hunter has decent animation at least. You feel like you’re sitting down for a typical fantasy anime. The color scheme has a jaded presence that fits in well with the winter season. Characters have distinctive designs. Azul and Erika stand out. Erika for her beauty and Azul for his unique attire. Erika’s character is beautiful. She is pure and innocent with a body that is begging to get railed on. Her plump breasts and soft skin compliment her silky hair and big green eyes. Monster designs are generic unfortunately. Supporting characters meld into one after a while.

The backgrounds are well animated with rich detail. Use of lighting and shadows make certain locations pop, like the forest where Erika battles monsters.

HENTAI

Sex in this story feels like an afterthought. There is only one sex scene between Azul and Erica near the end of the episode. Azul and Erica confess their love for each other and decide to fuck before they part ways.

The sex itself is unimaginative with Erica praising Azul for how hard and big he is despite him blowing his load just from rubbing her tits. She blows him until he gets a second wind. Despite never having had sex, Azul knows how to make Erica cum. He has endless endurance (save for that first time) and then fucks her pussy until he cums again. Erica is also shown to be a futa out of nowhere but it isn’t sexy. Azul somehow has no qualms about sucking her emergent dick. There was no warning that gender-bending content was coming.

The anime features a blatant trolling attempt when another character is captured by a monster. It pops out its monster cock but is destroyed before he can destroy her pussy. What a waste.

CONCLUDING WORDS

Kohakuiro no Hunter is a short, undeserving title that fails on nearly every front. A great opening theme and a sexy slut-to-be heroine isn’t enough to save it from being an abysmal fapping experience.

You can watch this lackluster anime at various streaming sites, including HentaiHaven.
